  1. I don't want to be a buzzkill but, I really don't see a drastic difference. Sure the front valance is nice but I have seen a lot better looking chrome that what they have on the sport and the other changes aren't enough to really make a big visual difference. It's like the visual difference between a Mustang v6 and a Mustang GT....sooo with the GT you get a couple driving lights up front and a little louder exhaust? at least with the mustang you get alot more power with the GT! Drop that 4.6 in the edge now thats a sports package!
  2. I have an 07 SEL with around 32k on it and it shifts VERY smooth. In fact it is the smoothest shifting car I have owned... I have had some other issues but never with the shifting...I do, however, think there is a recall that has to do with the issue you are describing.
  3. I just started thinking about something that didn't add up and took a second glance under my car. Ford uses Mercon V in the Transmission it has a red color, they use standard motorcraft differential gear oil in the PTU which doesn't have a color but does have a Very Stong odor. These fluids are not easy to mix up. I told the dealer my car was leaking motor oil. They told me it was leaking Differential oil. Why doesn't the differential oil have the strong smell that gear oil should?? BECAUSE IT IS MOTOR OIL. Those jerks in the shop don't know why type of oil is running out of my new car?? Don't think im being overly hard on the poor mechanics because I am one. I shouldn't have let them tell me it was gear oil in the first place but I didn't think about it at the time. SUGGESTION TO OTHERS: Don't assume the dealer knows what they are talking about. If you are mechanically inclined don't be affraid to tell them they are wrong.
  4. I agree something needs to be done. Ford first told me a month ago the leak was from the vent on top of the PTU and was running down (even though the top of the PTU was dry). It has now been a month since they told me it was fixed and what do i see when i get underneath? The leak is just as bad if not worse than before. The leak is bad enough that it has blown all the way back to the rear axle! Back to the shop again....That is if i can get them to return my calls this time! The worst part is that i live 1 hour from the closest dealership! not like they care though.
  5. Yep, same problem here. Mine has been in once and they told me it was leaking from the vent on top (even though the top of the PTU was dry) so they took a little fluid out and a week later sent me on my way. I just got out from under it for the first time since it came back from the shop (about 1 month ago) and it is just as wet now as it ever was. Now the fluid has blown all the way back to the rear axle! Rob at the dealership is going to get an ear full!...if i can ever get him to answer my calls!
