  1. Denicio; Yeah I think so. There were a pretty good number of 2.5 I4 Fusion owners that had their problems fixed by that Customer Satisfaction Program action. It has been indicated (in another thread) that TSB 15-0123 addresses the 3.5 Edge issue. We will have to see if it does indeed fix the issue.
  2. They did! My wife's 2010 would die in traffic and scare the hell out us. It took Ford several months before they sent out a TSB fix for the issue, which involved replacing the TB with an updated one and a re-flash. I went out and bought a new TB before we received the notice to inform us to bring it in for service. Since I had out of pocket expense for the purchase of the new TB, Ford reimbursed that expense and did a re-flash. No problems since...
  3. I spoke with Ford Customer Care today and other than answer the question I had primarily called about, I was told that Ford planned to have a 2016 on my dealer's lot (and others) Jan 16th @ 3:00 for customer inspection. That's pretty specific...I'll believe it when I see it.
  4. Nick; Are you getting any wind noise that you can directly attribute to those failing trim / sealant locations as far as you can tell?
  5. Has TSB 15-0123 fixed the stalling issue for you with the 3.5?
  6. Well we know they are holding them at least...
  7. It's worrisome that there are still 2015's being on "hold" from August builds today. What will 2015 "holds" do to 2016's being shipped in a timely manner? No, not a trick question...
  8. Good deal! It would be interesting to know what the difference is between the old piece and the new one?
  9. I just found this featuring 2016 prices: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2016/Ford/Edge
  10. From one veteran to all other veterans here. Thank you for your service, and welcome home! Freedom is never free!
  11. Any new owners willing to post up your thoughts in a review?
  12. I am leaning pretty hard toward that color too!
  13. There are posts in other threads that show that the dealer applied "fixes" to this leak issue did not work. If you have a vehicle that was id'ed by Ford as in need of a dealer visit for a follow up sealant application, keep an eye open for front interior floorboard wetness. If your Edge does need additional work following your dealer applied sealant failing to fix this issue please let us know about it.
  14. This makes me wonder if it is possible to seal the area that was missed / improperly sealed during initial assembly? Seems like the dealer applied post assembly sealant is not really doing a lasting job. Time will certainly tell the tale on that!
  15. WN; Post up some pictures if you do dip it.
  16. Thanks! It looks like a season of direct sunlight exposure might make a real mess of that dashboard. It will be interesting to see if other owners have this issue. Have you shown the "new" blistered dash to your service dept.? If so, what was their response?
  17. cab; What color did you order, and which color are you thinking of changing to?
  18. I had incorrectly assumed that the 3.5 was a DI motor. It is not, and is a throttle body controlled engine. The issue discussed above is covered by this video though it is mainly about DI Eco engines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ynGWxzJHjA
  19. We have talked a bit about DI motors and the possibility of them becoming problematic later in life due to valve coking. A lot of folks insist that "catch cans" are the best solution to reducing the amount of oil vapor that is injested into a DI motor. I suppose we can argue the point as to whether a Eco motor is going to be more reliable than the 3.5 (w/ a throttle body), but I believe the 3.5 will be, in spite of the reported need for reprogramming of the ecu for the throttle body that are still being seen in the 2015 Edge. I found this video and thought it did a good job of talking about the valve deposit buildup in the Eco-boost motors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ynGWxzJHjA 2nd video added https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK2eXdaydqI
  20. I saw this and had to chuckle. Some here would not see it as funny...At all.
  21. Please take a picture or two of the defect.
  22. Good news! Keep us posted on the new one going forward.
  23. Has anyone had their dealer's service shop actually be able to fix this issue? If so, what did they do?
