Your sunroof decision makes perfect sense. I'm in Quebec and during the summer I never use it, as it gets too hot. Right now my vista roof is opened all the time. The sun gives a very warm and nice feeling.

Do you find the key (remote) too sensitive ? The panic button gets pressed all the time when I leave the remote in my pockets. My previous car remote had the key sunked in, and you really had to press deep with a thumb nail to activate panic mode. Really this is a first-world problem... but when I do work around the house it's annoying ! Etienne

You could consider repairing the rim. I used to have 20" konig unknown rims that I have repaired 2-3 times. Shops use pressure plates with strong hydraulics that apply several tons of pressure, therefore straightening the rim. Roads are in extremely poor conditions up here so repairing rims is common. I costed me about 40$ a rim to have that work done. Etienne.

The subaru outback front grille is also very similar, but nobody seems to complain. It's impossible to criticize what Subaru does anyway, and whenever that happens Subaru fans get very heated.

In my opinion, to pit the Edge Sport against the Murano, and especially the Santa Fe, is nonsensical in the first place. The Edge is almost in premium territory. The Edge is much more responsive, more powerful, has better handling. The AWD technology seems superior as well on the Edge. Sound insulation is a lot better in the Edge. Overall a very superficial review lacking a lot of technical details. Etienne.

Hi ! Up here in Quebec, I'm on winter tires from the last weeks of October till beginning of May. That's roughly 24-28 weeks. Needless to say that driving in winter conditions here is something that needs to be taken seriously I have an edge sport with 21" rims. I will not put winter tires on those rims. They are too expensive and I want to protect the rims. Calcium is used here to de-ice roads and it causes a lot of damage. With that said, any suggestions on rim and tire sizes that would provide a safe driving experience on snow and ice ? I'm browsing https://www.canadawheels.ca/ Etienne.

No worries ! I hope you will get help and answers you need from members of this forum. Dealers usually have a visibility report they can run to trace the car. Ford knows where the car is, and on which railcar. I have seen this on other ford forums I'm pretty sure. Etienne.

I have ordered on 02/10. It took a very long time, because the dealer noticed only on May 15th that the 51D package was delayed until september. My build date is June 5th, so in a way I'm lucky I've avoided the water leak issues. There are a couple of threads about it.

Hi ! I have the dual headrest dvd. I think I am going to regret that 2100$ option I'm the type of buyer who checks all boxes when filling in the order...! My first question is about the manual. Does anyone have it ? Secondly, I feel like this should have come with a remote, can anyone confirm ? The dvd player is not a version with HDMI input. The screen quality is average at best, therefore I don't really recommend buying the headrest. Aftermarket options are probably much better. It reads dvds well, but I have not tried divx or anything like that yet. I also thought we could output the sound into the edge's speaker... I also have issues with menu navigation, I can't seem to find the keystrokes to exit the menu ! Oh well, this is why I'm looking for the manual. Etienne.

My edge finally arrived at the dealer late on the 16th, so I picked it up the next day. I love it ! Seems about as powerful as my eclipse GT. Thanks to everybody how helped me understand the ordering process and everything else Etienne

Is there a way to test the leak defect ? I will inspect and road test the edge before signing. I could go to a car wash

I finally got the VIN the day I decided to cancel the order The dealer got very lucky. The salesrep promised to keep me up to date on the ETA, build and shipment. He obviously did none of that, so I got in touch with the folks at FordServiceCA, and my truck is on its way to the dealer and will get there June 20th! Octane levels for premium fuel is low in Quebec (91/93), but in the USA you may have issues if you put in 101 octane in the ecoboost I guess. Getting way above or way under what the manufacturer recommends can cause issues. The check engine of my Mitsubishi would turn on sometimes, because the premium fuel is so diluted with regular fuel that octane goes almost down to 87. Fuel delivery is botched sometimes, diesel can be mixed with gas because the trucker is too lazy to empty the tank lol What a mess...

The day I decided to cancel the order, my dealer finally got the VIN ! My ETA is June 21st and ford etis shows my car was built. I have decided to wait, but if there are extensive delays on shipping I will cancel. Etienne.
