I felt the Stock 20" Hankooks were ok....better than most all seasons Ive had.....but they still dont hold a candle to the Blizzaks.....Id say stopping distance from 50km/hr difference would be 20 feet....with the hankooks, the abs would kick in almost every intersection....then the next day when it was even icier the abs did not activate even once the whole day with the Blizzaks.

All the attention the Edge got at Sema will tran slate into lots of aftermarket add-ons for the Edge. ...I think the Edge sport will be a blast to modify. a friend who owns lightspeed......attended the Sema show this week and heard that borla was working on a high performance exhaust for the Edge sport.

Nokian's are awesome but, trying to find the nokian in a 20" rim will be very tough.....I couldn't find any.....and thus why I went with the blizzaks DM-v2.

My wife hates you.....guess snow and ice performance is a mute point....LOL

You wont be disappointed. The power and control that translate into traction on even the worst skating rink ice is beyond my expectations....like i said before, I thought things couldnt get any better than my brothers wrx......but I was wrong.....the edge was even better!....even kicking in the turbos results in a great linear acceleration with almost no deviation.

what edge model do you have edmonton guy? How was did your edge fair after this last dump of snow......Ive been super impressed with our edge sport on blizzaks.

We just had a dump of 25 cm.......and! I just have to say, the edge has totally blown me away in how well it handles snow and ice. Now keep in mind I have Blizzak winter tires installed so that is a big factor too, but so does my torrent and the edge is 10 times better than the torrent on ice and snow. Just a few key points.....that stand out. ABS seems to alternate in order to keep you very strait on the road when stopping.....very impressive. The active AWD keeps you incredibly strait when accelerating and driving on glare ice.....people were spinning out of control all over the place (8 cars in the ditch in a 10 km stretch) and the edge was dead stable and strait(even if I applied a bit of throttle).....by far the best most stable vehicle platform Ive ever driven.....even better than my brothers WRX with Ice Pike(studded) Hannkooks. ....all I can say is this is one incredible bonus to having this wonderful vehicle! Id really like to hear about other peoples winter experience with their new edge......good or bad!

I went with 245/50 R20 blizzak dm-v2....I put them on the stock sport alloy rims....come spring/summer I'll find a suitable 20 inch rim for next winter.....the blizzak cost me just over 1k canadian....any other solution at this point would have been over 2k.

bingo...same here....brakes are super sensative\responsive....mind you thats not a bad thing as It stops on a dime.....my wife drives it 90% of the time and she (after7 months of driving it)is now use to it.

both 2015 tricolor platinum white edge sports we have...the paint has been incredible....one thing I did notice is that the tricolor pearl seemed to "POP" more once I polished it with ChemiGuys Bright white. here is a link: http://www.chemicalguys.com/White_Wax_p/wac_313.htm

3 to 5 min and the seats are very warm....same with the back seats as well.

Ive had two 2015 edge sports.....neither of them had the fiberglass debris on them.

I decided to go with Blitzzak DM-V2 245 50 R20.....on our stock alloy rims and then spend next 12 months finding aftermarket rims for the next following winter.

Great report....sounds like the ratios between 2 and 3 is to tall.....I've noticed that on even the stock sport.....looking forward to more of your testing.

Nice observations. ...I'm gonna take a closer look on my 2015 sport. .....just took a really close look at all the key areas you documented. .....and mine is flawless. ...not one area has any lifting or deviation...I would seriously be talking to your dealer about these issues. My edge has a build date of July 14, 2015....as per Vin. ....this is my second edge sport....the first one built in march had massive leaks...and ford gave us this one to replace the first one.

Looking forward to hearing about the tune and performance improvements.....I might have to live vicariously for awhile.

Took a really close look at our edge in sunlight and we have nothing that looks like that.

The tune is insane.....the 2.7tt is a tuners dream....with numbers like this just out of a tune: quote from Livernois Motorsports...."This tune is good for peak vs. peak gains of over 103hp and 97tq, with maximum gains of over 111hp and 117tq!" That would put the hp way over 400hp and torque would be knocking on 500ft/lbs.....thats stupid crazy on just a tune! This puts to shame even some of the most tuner friendly engines such as the 3.0 2JZ-GTE!! Im curious as to what the 2.7 can do when someone really puts the screws to it...ie exhaust, intake, bigger turbos, Procharger, nos, intercoolers, Meth.....ect....until it goes boom.....I bet that CGI block is one tough little beast! Now I know why they didnt put the 2.7ecoboost in the mustang.....there would be no reason to buy the 5.0L.

Totally agree 110%....and my wife and I even had one of the leaky ones to start off with, but we fell in love with it....so we had no problem staying with the edge sport when ford gave us a new one.

The 2.7 MKX does not have the active grill shutters as well.....I looked after my wife and I test drove one.....I asked the sales person and they had no clue what I was talking about.
