I too had high hopes for the mkx.....had it performed better than the sport, I was looking to upgrade to the mkx.....dont get me wrong the mkx was a beautiful vehicle....the ride was exceptional, interior was far superior to the edge.....just that small decrease in acceleration left me disappointed....the power just felt to civil compared to sport....but maybe thats the market they are going for.

Yes, i guess that could be a possibility.....just not sure why they would want to reign in that much power to make it inferior to the Sport....it was very noticeable, and I was really looking forward to the mkx test drive, and I left a little puzzled and disappointed as to the lack of power.

PPower train on the edge sport 6f55....guys are running big numbers on that tranny with the 3.5 .ecoboost. .

Ive seen an interview where a ford engine rep indicated that the only difference between the f150 and edge 2.7 was tunning....nothing more.....no internal changes.

I believe it is all tuning....a friend who owns lightspeed auto says this engine is capable of some serious numbers with tuning alone. Strange thing is the wife and I took a 2.7 mkx for a drive and found it felt noticeably slower than the sport.......now we didn't take any imperial data on the mkx.....it just felt like it had less kick than the sport....I was expecting alot more from the mkx.

We picked up our new replacement edge sport today.....feels good to have all of this behind us.

My guess.....is its trying to index the phone...which I believe it can't and hangs/locks up....not sure why your phone didn't charge tho. The nav card goes in the sd slot.....do you have navigation with your mft?

tire presure should be 35-36psi

Yes...but the tilt is at its 1st setting.....it seems she sits really low in the seat and has a very small/thin torso......so it looks like the head rest has to move back more.....tilting it and or raising it only makes it worse for her.

I find the seats incredibly comfortable.....but Im 6'0 and 300lbs(Im a power lifter and world strong man lifter.......so Im very heavy in my quads....smaller in the waist and heavy in chest and torso)...in fact Ive driven for over 9 hours strait(only stopping for gas) and It was a great experience.....my wife on the other hand, hates the head rest.....she finds it pushes her head to far forward and makes her slouch in the seat.....she is 5'4" and weighs 122lbs

Im from Canada, and my wife and I are in the process of a buy back and getting a replacement Edge sport.....we had a lake in our sport and lots of musty smelling mold and lots of electronic issues....it took the dealer and Regional CS 2 weeks to determine if we qualified for the buy back.....we did, so Im glad its been almost resolved for us.....I sure hope everyone else gets the fair treatment that we received.

Have you contacted the ford support here on this bulletin board. They have given me and my wife lots of help in getting things done with the dealerships...and they immediately got the regional rep involved, which really accelerated the process. My wife and I qualified for the buy back, so our dealer has found us the exact edge sport we had and is now getting it ready for us. We will hopefully get it before the weekend....I sure hope your situation turns out as good as ours. Ford and the ford reps have been really good to us......with the dealers being ok, once they understood the problem and Fords stance on this CS issue.

rockymtnsport.....Im sorry to hear about your dilemma....as it sounds very familiar to my situation. My advice is to contact your regional CS rep....as that really got the ball rolling for us.....and a positive note, ford has finally determined that our edge sport is eligible for the buy back and our dealer is currently looking for local stock that will be identical to our edge. I hope your scenario turns out as good as ours. I will say that our Regional rep was really good about the whole process....he is even going to reimburse us for the 3m Clear Bra pro.

We had that same smel(I would be concerned)......and lots of electronic errors failures and anomalies. ....our edge is in the final stage of assessment to determine if it qualifies as a buy back. We had a lake in the driver side front and back and under the front passenger seat.

my regional cs agent told me that if there are any other issues linked to this 15b21b....then the next course of action would be to replace the vehicle with a new model.....we bought our edge so Im not sure on the whole lease thing tho.

One week in the shop.....as it sits the inside of the Edge is completely stripped.....and waiting on parts. They tell me they will be replacing all of the electronic wiring harnesses, all of the insulation, and all of the carpets.

just over 5k miles on our 2015 sport....and we currently see 23.7 mpg combined(2k miles) and 28mpg on highway( via 8 hour drive through the mountains averaging 50 to 70 mph......on small 2 hour highway trips Ive seen as high as 31mpg.....(flat highway at a static speed of 70mph).

does anyone have the full document on the 15b21. What documentation did the dealers receive.....because right now, it seems like it is the blind leading the blind.

we are on our second dealer why......"its a long story...to keep it short, the dealer said they ordered parts.......4 wks later we contacted them about the parts and repair, and they had failed to order anything or report anything....thats when we got in contact with the regional CS via this forum.....needless to say its been a nightmare to deal with"!

So far ive had to wet vac 4 gallons of water out our edge and it is now just going in for the 3 day inspection at the second dealership. Im told that if there is any hint of musty smell our edge will be eligible for buy back. I guess we will have to wait for 3 days to see what the inspection reveals.....all I know is the thing leaks like sieve....pretty disappointing in a 50k vehicle....I will post back in 3 days to give an update.
