I went to the dealership today for antifreeze for my 2014 Edge and they told me they just changed the recommended antifreeze to a new type green that is not the old green or yellow. Can this be verified

Check out these replacement covers they look good to me. Removal and installation vids are on U Tube. They also have replacement wheels. Good used wheels are hard to find

Has anyone had rims gouged during tire change or balance. Dealer already replaced one and just destroyed another. Glad they are being responsible. They have a so called state of art changer and balancer. One was while changing and other on balance machine

Reread the post if you use a long enough transparent hose you can see when the dirty oil gets close to the engine. I used an icemaker hose and the oil was drained several feet before reaching engine. As far as asking a ford dealer, they all say you do not need to change ptu oil for 100,000 miles. Now what is the stupidest post

That may be a casting number. I need the same part only for the left rear door on a 2014 Edge. Mine has a scar from a dog crate. Most of it rubbed out but I don't want to rub down to black plastic (is that silver paint on black plastic????) Ford told me you have to order the whole door panel and junk yards most likely only sell the whole panel. If you find out anything let me know

title just about says it all. I checked Levittown ford prices and comes to about $1,700 I pamper this car likes a princess.I am sure aftermarket prices may be less and same with used. Should I demand Ford new oem parts or be happy with Allstate. Still waiting on their reply ...Any input would be helpful. 2014 edge sel, loaded, 38,000 mi perfect until this. Allstate customer since1970 no claims for many years

I had the oil changed in the ptu today using a BG machine. Was able to suck out approx. 14 oz each time, we did a drain and refill two times. Run the engine and wheels in between changes. The 2014 Edge has 20,700 miles on it. The oil color looked amber almost like new motor oil and felt like new motor oil. Filled up with Royal Purple 75-140. I think I will change it every 20,000 mi. No reason to change sooner or later.. This could be just as easily done with a cheap vac. pump. Fill plug easy to get to. Took about two min. for the machine to suck out the oil.

What is the first year for PTU drain plugs installed by ford? Mine is a 2014 does it have a drain plug.....thanks

I have a 2014 Edge only been in salt once. I washed the undercarriage after, it has no rust. I would wash that undercarriage very well and apply a coat of heavy oil on the rust..............will be ok for atleast 30 yrs. Years ago we used to get an oil can and squirt the undercarriage then drive down a dusty dirt road rust was never a problem then. I found that undercoating peels after a few years then the peeled sections become traps for salt

Is there supposed to be a large dust shield that needs removed to change oil and filter on a 2014 edge 3.5? Mine did not have one and I bought it new. Changed oil on my sons 2014 Focus today and it has a large dust shield that covers the bottom of the engine compartment that we had to remove to even see the drain plug and filter.

I think its 6 mos. You can get a better deal than $20 per month, call them and haggle with them before expiration date. I forgot how much my 1 yr extension was but it was way less than $20
