Update- My first replacement tank was not even ford tank, then just a couple of months after getting the car back, I get a call from the dealer that Ford wanted them to replace again. The dealer told me , the replacement tanks are the original plastic tanks! They cracked the fuel pump,,that took over 2 weeks to get that part. ggrr,,well who knows how long this one will last. I was never given an option to trade in or anything, or an offer. I know it has been a real hastle for almost a full year.!

My edge is still at the Mastell Ford dealer. fuel pump still not replaced on it. they never call and give an update. my guess, it will sit there another 4 months while I am making car payments on it. this recall is a mess.!! something just isn't right.

My edge has been back at the dealer for a week, and not a word. this is due to the fuel pump getting cracked , I mean they have put 2 fuel tanks in my car in a 4 month period. So anyone that got a tank put on before august, I would imagine your tank will be replaced AGAIN!

our car sat at the dealer from dec through april. that was the first tank. couple weeks ago, get a call from the dealer that ford wants them to put a second tank on. I a bout flipped. my car sat out all winter covered with snow and ice and we have had all kinds of problems ever since. now after the second tank was put in, I was driving home and the fuel pump went. took it back the next day, and it took the dealer two days to get ahold of ford to give them the go ahead and replace the pump. I am still without my car again. this whole thing is a joke. I knew after the car sat out all winter that things would go wrong, especially out in the weather. never buying another ford that is for sure

took my edge back in today after the fuel gage went to empty and notice of low fuel came up,,just a few minutes down the road after the dealer put the second fuel tank in. now the pump went on it. dealer couldn't get ahold of Ford to see if they would give them the go ahead to put in new pump. I am at wits end with this whole thing. fuel tank recalled in dec., dealer wouldn't release my car to me due to it having a leak,,sat at the dealer for 4 months in winter weather. I get the car back in april with new tank,,i thought we were all good,,but no such luck.. they had to replace the tank a second time. now there is even a question whether the pump is replaced, the thing was fine , never had an issue with the pump, now 10 min down the road after second tank was replaced, it goes!!!!! my bp has been out the roof the last 2 days,

i haven't been here for a few months, i finally got my tank put on in april. (after it sat at the dealer for months) which i never would have done, but the dealer would NOT release my car to me!! if you have had a new tank put in, don't get too comfy, got a call from the dealer that put the tank in. Had to have a second tank put in. half way home, gas gage goes to empty and my low fuel notice came on!! now i hve to take it back AGAIN. Stopped and put 20.00 in, still reads empty. I am fit to be tied.

I called the dealer, of course no fuel tank yet. I mentioned my snow/ice covered car sitting out in back lot. I was told I could come clean it off myself. and there is one other car out there that looks just like mine. I guess that was suppose to make me feel better. I then reminded them, there are at least 40 other cars sitting in your lot that have non snow/ice on them, My car just doesn't matter to them. Mastel Ford, in Olean, Ny

How Mastell Ford treats my Edge that has the fuel tank recall. It has been sitting there since December 30. Doesn't look like there are any plans in the near future to fix it. Looks like it belongs in a grave yard, I was almost in tears when we drove into the lot.

well, as long as ford is willing to pay well over 2,000.00 per month for me to drive a Ford F-150 until I get my car back, they can have at it. I have worked with our insurance on liability, and ford is paying insurance through enterprise rental. I honestly don't know what will happen. I doubt Ford is happy about paying our my rental..but the stinker is, I would still be driving the Toyota corolla had I not worked through enterprise rental. Ford could care less what car I have for loaner. seems to me they would at least want me in a ford.

no cover on my ford edge at the dealer all through this winter and ice. I never had it sit out in the winter!!! I wrote a letter to Board of Directors. Got a letter in the mail today from Ford. Amazing how they are dealing with this, like it is my fault when I had an issue with the loaner I got. It stated that ford is not instructing dealers to provide a loaner vehicle. hhmm that is funny, Ford sent me right to Enterprise rental to pick up my loaner. The letter said that I should continue to work with the service team at Mastell Ford dealer. Ok, but they know nothing!!!!!

Now my Edge has about 3 feet of snow , still sitting at the dealer. Not been touched.. Has been sitting there since Dec. 30. so ridiculous.

at least now I am in a Ford Truck instead of Toyota corolla.

I would have taken my edge to a garage I trust, but they are not a Ford dealer, so we had no choice but to take it to the ford dealer, we just picked the closest one to us. I don't think they run a very good business, just the attitude of the people working there, I could tell.

ford is paying my rental and insurance, I threw a fit!! when they weren't going to help me out past my 45 days of my insurance covering substitute car. I guess it doesn't cover liability, so I have to contact my insurance company, see if they can do something for that. meanwhile my edge still sits at the dealer with 2 ft of snow covering it, NO tank yet,!

so, we that Ford is paying for the part, are at the bottom of the wait list . My son said, it is time to contact media.
