  1. Don't forget the 3.5 EB will need Qty2. CJ Pony Parts has a great site
  2. Maybe the same spot as the Focus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AExA1OIigjk http://www.cjponyparts.com/turbosmart-blow-off-valve-kompact-shortie-dual-port-focus-st-2013-2015-ecoboost-3-5l-f150-2011-2012/p/TS02031061/
  3. I installed the new Electronic Throttle Body about 2 weeks ago and I’m happy to report all is well with our 2011 Edge. Super easy to do; all you need is an 8mm socket and 15 minutes. I took photos and will do a quick write up as soon as I get a free chance (Moms been in the hospital).
  4. Thanks just what I needed (torque specs), and that was what I guessed when I was talking to a guy at work today, I'll change out my ETB and document it tonight.
  5. From post #147 on page 8 "Vehicle lost power pulling out in traffic and would not accelerate and the yellow wrench appeared on the instrument panel. Restart engine and back to normal (this happened 3 times trying to get home). The third time the Service Engine Soon light came on and I was able to pull the codes and had a P2111 and a P2112." 6. One left, mine is out for delivery today. 2 days from Puerto Rico I’ll do a write up and take pic’s for anyone that needs it, should be a 15 minute job Total cost $151.77 http://www.ebay.com/itm/161739625540
  7. Used the German method; goodandtight. LOL
  8. Forgot to ask, anyone know the torque value of the 4 throttle body mounting bolts I don't have the shop manuals at this time?
  9. Kind of getting a little off topic I must say Ford answered my PM very fast so they are listening to what is being said. This may be a recall one day who knows; worst case I’m out $152.00 I just want it fixed. With no data it’s really hard to know how many have really failed. I see a lot of talk the about the recalled TB used on the Focus but I thought it was a different part number so you can’t really compare. I see it as a safety issue for sure and only someone that had a close call would get it, we could be the very few who knows.
  10. I agree; the dealers are making the money. Look, I love Ford; matter of fact my 2003 F150 4.6L just turned 264,000 miles without one issue and runs great. But this issue should have been looked at a little harder. I’m a reliability engineer and calculate the failure rate of items used in military flight simulators every day. I would love to see the failure rate data on the Rev A throttle Body electronics.
  11. Thank you for the information, from what I can see it should be plug and play but I'll look into it. I planned on taking it in to a dealer soon as I to have time to check that the firmware is up to date in the ECU anyways.
  12. 2011 Edge, just less than 62,000 miles Vehicle lost power pulling out in traffic and would not accelerate and the yellow wrench appeared on the instrument panel. Restart engine and back to normal (this happened 3 times trying to get home). The third time the Service Engine Soon light came on and I was able to pull the codes and had a P2111 and a P2112. Reached out to Ford Yesterday via PM and had a reply later that day from Tricia recommended taking my vehicle to the dealer to get diagnosed and she would look into it on her end. First I would like to say thank Ford for the prompt response. I have made the choice to order the new OEM Ford throttle body (P/N: AT4Z9E926B) and repair it myself seeing how i only have CPO powertrain coverage. I have always done my own service and just can’t bring myself to pay a higher price for the part, labor and taking time off to get it to a dealer. My wife is an LBK amputee and just started driving after 12 years away and this was kind of a setback as now she needs reassurances that the Edge is safe; luckily I was driving when it happened; she would have freaked out. Anyways the part should be in on Thursday so I’ll drive it for some time and see if it corrects the problem and report back. I would like to add for the poster who doesn’t think it is an issue. The first time this happened I was pulling out on a very busy street that you have to be a little aggressive to pull out (no one wants to let you in). I looked for an opening, get on it to pull out and it died with a car approaching fast with nowhere to pull over. So glad we didn’t get rear ended but I have to say I’ll be a little gun shy to pull out in the Edge for a bit. I’m not sold on the “Drive by wire” that’s for sure.
