Well it is done and over with. They have assured me that it is a Ford hitch and they did a nice job of trimming it. Just wish I would have known would have had the hidden hitch installed and probably saved a couple hundred bucks. Thanks for the replies

I just bought a 2014 Edge and part of the deal was to install a Ford Factory hitch on it with the 2" receiver. When I got it back I saw that they had notched out the bumper skirt for the hitch receiver. I thought the factory hitch ran under the bumper but dealer said they had to notch them out and used a template. They did a nice job but was not happy about them cutting out a piece of the skirt on a brand new vehicle. Can anyone confirm that this has to be done to install a factory hitch on the Edge. Thanks
