  1. I've never installed HID lights before and was a little worried about getting the bulb in correctly. I must have been lucky because from what I can see there are no shadows in the beam pattern. Now I just need to figure out how to tie the cords together from the housing to the ballast and where to put them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I drive mostly at night (works nights, sleep during the day) and these are great. Much brighter than stock. I'm still interested in the morimoto bulbs though, so we'll see.
  2. I'm glad you said that. I haven't received an email yet and was unsure of which bulbs to get. I'll definitely try the 5000k from Dan and look into the morimoto bulbs in the meantime.
  3. Thanks badgb21 for your post on the hid kit from Dan. After reading that I decided to give the kit a try. I ordered it today and just waiting for him to email me. I'll post pics when it's all set and installed.
  4. I like the color of those, looks clear. I've been looking at which kit to get for awhile. I'll consider these.
  5. I'm glad to hear it's holding. Through the recent snow here, mine has been fine. I really worried when I went through the car wash. I have a subscription to one where a guy scrubs the grill with a brush then the car goes through. There are big foam pieces that slaps the front of the car. So far, none has come off.
  6. That looks awesome, I keep checking Amazon if the price comes down I'm going to order those.
  7. Good luck and be sure to post photos I look forward to seeing them !
  8. No, I used a toothpick to trace the letters on the inside and it came right off while staying tight on the letters. So far driving through snow and getting dirt all over hasn't affected it at all.

    emblem

  11. I used newspaper to tape around the outside of the emblem then sprayed over it with 5 coats. After it dried I peeled the plasti out of the inside. I also did my Ford emblem and it turned out well.
  12. I finished my plasti dip project this weekend. I easily removed the grill to spray. I'm happy with how it came out but I'm going to try and touch up the white next week. I have a car wash subscription that I use during the Winter to get the mag chloride off my car. Hopefully it holds, we will see. It feels durable and I've watched several videos of cars going through the car wash after being dipped and they were fine.
  13. I've never used plasti dip before but I plan on doing my grill this weekend. I'm going to do white inserts with black on the chrome. I'll let you know how it goes and hopefully post photos if it turns out.
  14. Hello here to introduce myself. I just purchased a 2013 Edge Se. I've always been a Ford fan and recently upgraded from a Ford Fusion. At work I drive the Taurus and recently was assigned a 2014 Explorer. Although the Explorer was a little high in my price range, I decided to go take a look. I jumped in the Edge instead and it just felt right. It sits up high, gets decent gas mileage and so far AWD has been a beast in Denver snow. So far I've thrown on 4 new snow tires and working on new rims for the tires it came with. My next upgrade will be drl from daytime bright lites. I'm excited to be here and I've read quite a few topics here in the mods section. Lots of great ideas and creativity!
