Puddle Lights

I have seen several different ways that people have done it. Some including moving the mirror all the way down and you can supposedly accsess it that way. I'm just wondering what the best way is. I really don't want to cut the lens off. If it came to that, I'm not sure how I would secure it back on. But I did see that one as well -

Just looking to see if anyone has any insight on replacing the puddle light bulb in my 2007 edge sel plus. I don't want to convert them to led or anything else. Just replace it with a standard bulb. Thanks.
