After getting them installed, I took a cut-off pic, but not as far away from objects as you all. It seems from about 20 feet to stay under a sedan's rear windshield on flat ground. I went with the 35w 5500k from Retrofit Source, a 9012 bulb. They said the anti-flicker wasn't needed, and used the HD relay. Turns out my headlight was out because the stock bulb melted the harness, so I went hardwired.

I've scoured the posts, and have found that generally diode dynamics and retrofit source are recommended, so I've found some quality manufacturers. Now the question is which of the two will work best in my 2011 edge for driving at night, including the rare occasion i'll need to kick on the high beams. The LED XML2 @ approx 1400lm http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-size/9005/9005-xml2-pair or the HID 50w at 6500k http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-size/9005/9005-xml2-pair I am trusting the projectors to take the massive amount of lighting and put it away from people's eyes. I think I want 50w over 35w, because I'd rather have more than less light. I don't know anything about the HID options, so if you feel that is better please help explain which options I should go with. I hope this is a new discussion, as I didn't really see any previous posts asking this.

I picked up an AEM Dry air filter the other day and dropped it in since I noticed there is a stock ram air system. I was hugely impressed with the power gain for the price... the gain felt similar to dropping a full cold air intake system in. This is worth the $30 if you want a little more torque, or to have a throatier sound from 3000rpm up! http://www.amazon.com/AEM-28-20395-DryFlow-Air-Filter/dp/B00GBQ75NC/ref=au_as_r?ie=UTF8&Make=Ford%7C54&Model=Edge%7C5858&Year=2011%7C2011&n=15684181&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive

I installed the Putco 4400K bulbs shown above without too much stress. Me and my friend had a few beers and decided that taking the headlights out were likely to result in much more clean up work the next morning, so we opted to leave the headlights in and squeeze our hands behind the projectors. It was a bit of a pain to line up the bulbs so they fit properly in, but we finally got them in (after an initial test drive's awful aiming showed that one was not in properly). All in all I got what I wanted - the color. http://www.ipf-light.com/catalog/ti/comparisonLightTitan.jpg (Very similar before and after) I was hoping for some increase in lighting, and I will say that the look of the road at night isn't terribly different. The light color does trigger better reflection of highway signs, however, so you get the feeling that they do more. Going to the brights doesn't add a ton of light. All in all I'll say these are alright for the price if all you want is just the color.

Did this ever get sold? -
I am looking to get close to pure-white 6000K color from my headlights. I am not looking to spend a killing on them if possible, but don't want to get the cheapest thing out there as well. Gaining additional light output isn't as important to me, but if I am spending money I'd appreciate the increase from my standard yellow-light bulbs that I have currently.' I have done HID lights before on the cheaper end and didn't love blowing ballasts all the time. I have looked at LED bulbs, as well as kits, but I unfortunately don't know enough about what I'm looking at. I saw the stickied post about lights, but I think what I'm looking for might be a bit too specific. What do you all think I should be looking at?

Ford SYNC Music format - TESTED
Dominatron2212 replied to Dominatron2212's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Hey Rebecca.. According to my research FAT32 is capped at 32GB.. so if you want to have a larger memory card it wouldn't register. I have no performance issues (about 5 minutes to index and build voice commands for 1000 songs) at ex-FAT with my 64GB SD card. Does Ford advise against this, or do they just not have this tested out enough to officially recommend it? -

Thanks Rebecca! Does bitrate not matter? I have updated the original post. -
Ford SYNC Music format - TESTED

I do not use Apple for any music so I cannot say for sure.. but if someone would load up an AAC file on their Edge/Sync system and test it out.. I'll gladly add it to the list! EDIT: It appears so. -
I've noticed a defrost icon on my side mirrors, but don't see a button specifically to turn them on. Does anyone know how to do this? Figured I should ask before it gets much colder..
