  1. These two videos are not exactly how to replace weatherstripping, but do show how to get into the inside of the aasy
  2. The fact that you have an illustrated parts breakdown avaliable and are having difficulty identifying the exact problem could mean you're out of you level of expertise. (I certainly would be.) The sunroof is a large, heavy complicated assembly. Personally I've worked on my 09 MKX and was able to replace the accordion seals, but that's childs play compared to what you're trying to accomplish. What I would do is drop by the local Ford dealership and ask them for their opinion. (Ask to speak only with the service manager.) I strongly suspect that they wouldn't consider repairing the assy, but the probably call in an outside vendor for the repair. If they can identify the actual weatherstripping that's failing, ask for a quote to repair. Its probably going to be six or seven hundred as the assy has to be torn apart. If they don't repair these assys, ask who they recommend that can do it. (It's important that you ask for the service manager for this, the guys at the front desk are not mechanics, just there to schedule and upsell the clients.) I'll look for a YouTube video on taking the roof apart, I remember watching in the past. Ill post the link in a separate message.
  3. Did you make any modifications to your car? All of these lights have a common feed.
  4. Not certain as to how to adjust, I would imagine that there should have an adjustment somewhere. Fogs are aimed differently than the main driving lights. Fogs purpose is to illuminate just the edge of the road. Theory is, in heavy for, snow or rain, you're going to be driving slow. 10 mph slow. The main purpose is to show you where the edge of the road is, not to illuminate to road in front (which you can see anyway.) Because of this, I can see why one light may be aimed lower than the other. Best way to tell is to flip them one and judge if they're lighting the road edge adequately.
  5. Personally I'd go to the dealership. Costs more, but they do the job right and guarantee the results. Plus, get a Carlite windshield and not an aftermarket.
  6. Or our VA benefits.....!
  7. As an alternative, and the seals aren't too bad, could always try 303 seal rejuvenater on them. https://www.overtons.com/303-rubber-seal-protectant-3.4-oz.-320858.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign={Campaign}&cq_cmp=22321557994&cq_con=181735643968&cq_term=&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_plt=gp&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtJ6_BhDWARIsAGanmKfYMpnjrb-AMJwEfuC3HIv6fCTyw5FnBzjvnfwY35Sw4_qyW0f4fa4aAoIbEALw_wcB
  8. Link to working diagram, part numbers, prices and where to buy parts. https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/v-2009-lincoln-mkx--base--3-5l-v6-gas/body--sunroof
  9. My guess is you're talking about #16 (upper seal, 7T4Z-7851707-A, $127.86) #17 (front seal, 7T4Z-7851884-A, $228.63) & #18 (rear seal, 7T4Z-7850036-A, $244.66). As for method of repair, you are going to need to buy a body manual to do the job properly. You can buy a set of bofmdy manuals on Ebay for $30. Item number 394401556064 (last one, don't dilly dally). https://www.ebay.com/itm/394401556064?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2_naznvlqda&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Snv36mbbRk2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  10. Lockpick will unlock this for you. (So will changing certain settings if you know what they are.) https://naviks.com/i-24076096-2016-2020-ford-edge-sync-3v2-v3-4nav-in-motion-lockout-bypass-carplay-in-motion-bypass-lockpick.html
  11. Are we about to see an additional 20% on OEM auto parts? Talk about inflation. I'm on Social Security and need this about as much as I need to grow a hemroid.
  12. You could adapt something like this. https://a.co/d/8SdBWqO
  13. I also believe that do to lack of use, the lock cylinder is probably gunned up. Second on spraying WP40 into the key slot. Now, some cars have a twist when using a mechanical key. Don't know if it affects yours, don't think Ford uses, but doesn't hurt to try. Put the key into the key slot, but don't turn it. Wait 5-10 seconds then try.
  14. The standard for the Edge/MKX is front wheel drive. To turn a FWD car into AWD car, they add a Power Takeoff Unit, a driveshaft from the PTU to the rear axle, an electronic coupler where the driveshaft joins the RDU and a RDU with active differential. There's no practical way to convert an AWD to RWD without modifying the transaxle. Possibly by changing out the transaxle and installing a transmission from a F150. Would also have to modify the driveshaft and RDU. You could disable the AWD function by popping a fuse or two and make the car FWD only. This will set a code and light in the instrument panel. As an alternative, you could remove the driveshaft. Question is, why would anyone want to?
  15. Not my browser. I'm using Google Chrome. Here's what I'm getting when I click on the link This page isn’t working www.2gfusions.net redirected you too many times. Try deleting your cookies. ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
  16. Fuel pump failure in a 2020 would be considered extremely rare. As you bought it used, I wouldn't get my knickers in a bunch unless other parts start failing. Eco Boost is related to turbochargers. Nothing to do with a fuel pump failing. Fuel pump failures are more related to a load of bad gas with dirt in it, clogging the inlet filter and overheating the pump. That can happen to anyone (in fact happened to me years ago.) Traced to a small operator who pumped out a tank at one of his stations to fill another at another station he owned. He sucked up all the dirt at the bottom on the tank. Couldn't sue as he denied everything. Cost me over three hundred as I had to also replace all filters, carb rebuild.
  17. ???? There's a mat in there?
  18. We're sorry, that number is no longer is service. If you feel that you've reached this message in error, please stick your head out of the closest window and yell at the top of you voice, "I'm sick of this •••• and I'm not going to take it anymore." There now, don't you feel better? I know I do. Your welcome.
  19. Sealed for life is a relative term in which "life" represents the length of the original warranty. 🙂
  20. Check your coolant level. If ok, I'd suspect the heater door is malfunctioning (blocking heated air.)
  21. Not a subscription nor an update. Been on Ford/Lincoln since Sync 1. I know if you don't have a cell phone linked to your car, you'll get a message that 911 is not available.
  22. True enough, but the OP clearly stated he wanted a printed manual. I personally favor a printed manual as well. Clarify: For my car. I actually have all my appliances and equipment on PDF. Great space saver (and I can't find half of the anyway.) Cell PDFs puts everything in one place. .
