  1. Could always try turning off the lighting in settings and then back on. See if that would reset to module. If not possible a battery disconnect for a minute or two, to reset all modules and let them rediscover their connections.
  2. Try a relearn procedure for the sensor/module. On the HVAC panel controls, press the A/C and Recirc buttons simultaneously, then, release both. Within 2 seconds press the A/C button again.
  3. You could try entering the info for your edge in the Crutchfield site. See what they recommend. (Don't be surprised if they tell you there is no aftermarket recommendation). https://www.crutchfield.com/S-G3Dy9q9k1QB/car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx
  4. This video shows a simular problem (latch intermittent). In his followup he reported he changed the latch for $151.
  5. Still would hurt to get the CCA rating checked (not just voltage as weak battery may show 12.4 volts after charge but can't hold charge). Does the latch click when you try to open? Strange that the shifter seems to affect whether it opens or not. Next time it doesn't open, try wiggling the shift lever (not actual shifting). There is a way to unlock & open the liftgate manually.
  6. Why not just wire to the mirror wiring? Slap in a Mirror Tap (or similar) harness. No direct wire connection (pins slip into harness connector, wire tie to wiring harness or mirror body. Took me 5 minutes). On my MKX, power goes on when engine starts and off when door open (after car shuts off).
  7. It would be expensive as hell. Harnesses, modules, programming. Possibly different motors (need feedback as to position). Keep in mind there is more than just the seats involved. Exterior mirrors, drivers window, select switch (not on non-memory models). You'd need to start by getting a hold of 2018 wiring diagrams for memory/non-memory setup and compare the differences.
  8. You must have made Siri mad. She hates you. I think she's trying to kill you. She may try to turn Garmin against you as well. Tread lightly.
  9. Sounds like the upper console is disconnected. It's easy to pull down and check. (On my MKX you grab the rear of the consul and pull down. It pops right off).
  10. Sounds like it likes to work after getting heat soaked. I'd start by changing the light bulb. Check the wiring connector when you have it out. Also have a look at the wiring for any cuts or tears.
  11. 2015 discussed here some time back. Different rotors appearently based on tire size.
  12. Like omar302 was saying, this is normal behavior. When the fob is close to the car, the liftgate is unlocked. Close all doors & liftgate. Stand back and hit the lock button on the fob twice. Of you get one honk, everything is locked. Two beeps means something didn't lock.
  13. The "why they left this off" is simple. The corporate bean counters told engineering to cut $x off the product. This was an easy cut. No one is going to notice this on the showroom floor (if ever). They do this all production year long. Usually its a vendor change, but bigger savings just to drop an unneeded part.
  14. >Settings >Navigation >Route preferences >Avoid freeways ...or, >Always use route ...or, ~There was a waypoint set
  15. It sounds like the wheel with the bad unit was moved to the rear left (and is still bad). If they put in a new unit, they probably used aftermarket. When I had new senders put in my MKX, I talked to the dealer about Motorcraft or aftermarket. They told me they have problems with around 10% failure with aftermarket (most often failing within a year). Could be the aftermarket unit isn't sending a strong enough signal. (?) I believe if one sensor fails, the entire relearn process fails. So the system may still "think" the bad sending unit is on drivers front (as it hasn't been retained from the rotation).
  16. Also check your settings. It's possible to change the route servings to not consider certain roads, such as do not take freeways, and the like. If it's not even seeing the freeway on the map, try updating the maps in the car's navigation.
  17. If it's bouncing back open, its sending something blocking its closing completely. Look for anything around the seal that shouldn't be there. If it doesn't try to reopen, look for missing rubber pads. To troubleshoot the latch / switch, this should help: https://blog.1aauto.com/power-liftgate-problems/
  18. $64 on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/203525515184?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mwFKlLbmT5O&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Snv36mbbRk2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  19. Out of curiously, i checked Safelite site. Appears there are two different types of rear glass with antennas. One identified as "antenna", another identified as " diversified antenna". First costs ~$490, 2nd ~$597. (Heated glass without antenna goes for $476). The following discussion discusses what all is involved with, with this type of in-glass antenna. May be usefull (but written for Lincoln Town Car). https://www.fordforums.com/threads/where-is-the-diversity-antenna.125129/
  20. This navigation system is available for sync 4. (From Ford). Haven't spoken to anyone who's actually gone this way.
