  1. Leaves should not be getting into the HVAC blower housing. Check your cabin air filter. Also check under the hood at the back, top of the engine compartment. This is where the HVAC air intake is located. Make certain that the exterior filter (grill?) is in place.
  2. Isn't the resistor completely out of the circuit when the blower is set to high? The HVAC Control Module decides whether to pass current through each leg of the resistor or go direct to the motor.
  3. If you have ever sold new cars you already know that you sell a car three times. First you sell the car off the showroom floor, second you sell the car through financing and third, you sell the car through parts. All parts fail, only a question of time and circumstance. The door switches have been a source of headache, but only a small percentage of cars have failures. Same with tb. Why do some fail early and others go the life of the car?
  4. Several websites offer their opinion based on people they have talked with: http://carpreview.com/ford/edge/2017/previews Here's (supposedly) a pix of prototype: http://releasedatesnewcars.com/2017-ford-edge/ As per rumor website, mostly the same as 2016, some new colors, new grill and front end design, different engine for Euro exports. (Link above). About what you would expect with a mid cycle design. As one site put it, if your wondering if you should go with a 2026 or wait fir the 17, go with the 16 as no real advantage with the 17 (advanced sync stuff will be made available for the 16) and there will be a price increase. 18 is expected to start a new Cycle.
  5. Is there a clip missing or just not holding (needs new clips)?
  6. Could always get a trunk monkey instead. Heard you can buy a 2-pack of sockets at Pep Boys for $25 that can pop most locking wheel bolts. Hiwever, if you put on five per wheel however, if I were a tire thief, I'd just move on.
  7. Have you consideted that the capless filler may be working fine and the actual problem lies in the evap canister, hoses or seloniod (or related)
  8. In your example, do you have more than 256 names in you "D" contacts?
  9. Ok, sorry, my mistake. Probably a stupid question but have you updated to your latest operating system for your sonim xp5520?
  10. On an 2009 or 2010, press the "setup" button on the left side of the center console repeatedly until it displays "power liftgate". Press the "reset" button to toggle the liftgate function on or off. (Note this will only disable the buttons on the exterior and cargo area panel, the button on the FOB & instrument panel will still operate the liftgate). On a 2011-2014, the process is simular, the menu is displayed in the message center between the speedometer and the tach. Press the left button on the steering wheel up or down until "convenience" is displayed. Then press the right arrow key to choose "power liftgate". Press ok button to toggle on or off. Back out using the left arrow button. On some 2014 (type-2 type displays)-2016, the switch is listed under "vehicle". .
  11. Actually it's a no-cost feature. Stops nagging.
  12. Glad to hear it. I cant see how changing the HVAC motor would have any effect on the front or rear defrosters. Are both working now?
  13. Believe I would consider using PB Blaster on it. Works when other products don't.
  14. May very well be the HVAC Control Module (common point to all the problems you reported).. 1) Start by verifying fuses #45, (5 amp), #37 & #15 (10 amp) in the smart junction box (fuse panel). 2) Verify fuse #63 (40 amp) in the battery fuse panel (in engine compartment). The HVAC Control Module is what sends a signal to the blower motor to run (and at what speed). The HVAC Control Module also controls the heated window. If all the fuses are good, it could verify well be a defective module. It's located behind the radio in the center instrument panel.
  15. According to page 319 in the owners manual it's 150 lb. ft.
  16. Settings > General > Accessibility > Incoming Calls. The choices are "Default" "Headset" and "Speaker". Set to "Speaker".
  17. Have you checked ebay? Anything used from a local (Azerbaijan) junk yard?
  18. Are you thinking of something like this? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1993270578.html Possibly this might work: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1993270578.html
  19. Oh my, you are. Pulling out a key and manually putting it into a slot and then having to turnnnnnn it until the door unlocks, I perish the thought.
  20. Yes. Had a mechanic work one extra hour on a single rear brake once. He finally broke it free with a torch. I paid of course, wasn't his fault and he did what I had took it into him for, new brakes. Your mechanic isn't screwing you, he had to do a lot of extra work to accomplish what you took to car to him for. And who knows how much your aftermarket changes made the job more difficult? You will need to take responsibility for that. It's in alignment now isn't it? He did what he had to do to get it right.
  21. I have only played with Syne 3 once with a loaner, seemed to work simular to my Sync (with a different interface of course). If I understand your question correctly, you are only displaying a limited number of contacts under any given letter. On mine, I need to use the down arrow to display additional contacts if there are more than will fit on a single screen. In your example contacts under "D", all of the D contacts display and stop at "DO". Have you hit the down arrow to display the rest?
  22. There was a discussion about this over in the Ford trucks forum. Fella found that the LED can be replaced. Another describes how to do it yourself. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1206592-side-view-mirror-disassembly-leds-stopped-working.html
  23. There's one for the 2015,16 (you didn't specify your year) on Ebay. Item #282098113981
  24. See page 228 of your owner's manual. It limits your car to 2000 lbs. if it didn't come with the factory tow package. Remember to keep your tires properly inflated and change your transmission fluid under the severe category (if not sooner).
