  1. I've posted in another forum on this topic but here goes.... 07 Edge SEL FWD No roof 18" wheels 60% hwy/ 40% city AC Hot (sunny SC) hills With 1000 miles on the clock I'm getting 20.5 MPG. I expect with some additional break-in and my newly adjusted gas-saving driving habits that number will go up. I'll post after my next 500 miles. So far I'm relatively happy with the results.
  2. Had a chance to calculate mileage at our last fill-up. My calculation is coming up at 20.3 and the computer reads 20.4. Pretty darned close. 900 miles and I'm seeing over 20mpg. I'm happy with this and expect the fuel economy to improve as it is broken in.
  3. We have around 450 miles on our 2007. I'd say we doing about 50 - 60% of our driving on the highway. The computer is reading 20.4mpg. I have not verified this as of yet but from what I've read on this forum the computer is fairly accurate on this vehicle. (Wish I could say the same for my 2002 Maxima that inflates my fuel economy by around 3 to 4 mpg on its computer.) At this time I'm very happy with our mileage on the Edge and expect it to improve. Not sure why yours would seem low in comparison. Maybe additional break-in will help.
  4. I concur. The 2007 SEL we just bought had reverse sensing as an option. It was not standard on the SEL.
  5. Hmmmm.... Seems like all the posts that I have read with this paint condition were black Edges. Has anyone read a post where this occurred with a different color?
  6. I've had plug-n-play Sirius receivers for 3 years now and have really enjoyed the service. One's mostly used in the house as part of the home stereo and the other travels with me in my car. Where I live the radio stations stink and I hate listening to commercials on my commute. Also, I really enjoy the NFL channel for the latest news, interviews, commentary, etc. My wife's Edge has the Sirius built-in and it's great (she thinks so too). We'll see how long the service lasts before it shuts off (at least 6 months). I'd try it and see what you think. Can't hurt your resale value if you decide to sell one of these years even if you don't use it.....

  8. When we were trolling lots trying to determine if we wanted an Edge or not we noticed that on the 2007 models the N. American content of the vehicle was listed at 95%. For the 2008's it was listed at 70%. Where are the additional 25% of non-N. American parts sourced from on the 08's?
  9. We also have a 07 EDGE SEL and my wife voiced concern over this (on passenger side) when we test drove the vehicle. I attributed the discomfort to the position of the seat after I sat in the passenger side. When I adjusted the angle of the seat with more of a decline the issue seemed to be resolved. The headrests are different for the passenger vs. the driver. The headrests on the newer vehicles all pretty much seem to angle towards the back of the head of the person in the vehicle. My 02 Maxima is the same way. I agree that it is uncomfortable when the seat is in a certain position. We seemed to have alleviated the issue by adjusting the position of the seat and the height of the headrest. I hope this helps.
