That's nice to see. Of course it's #1 in my book too.

I'd recommend PM'ing FordService on this board. I've had my VIN for a couple weeks now and I had been calling the 800 number for awhile to avoid annoying Tricia (FordService). The 800 number seems to have out of date information. I called last Friday with my VIN for an update and they said it was still "in order processing" and not scheduled to a week.

WeatherTech Mats for my '15 Edge
cab2g replied to wtxd's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
That is the problem I have with my Husky mats I installed in my car (5 years ago). One never completely flattened out and there is a gap on the side next to the door on the driver's side. I ordered weathertech mats and they were shipped in boxes where they can lay flat. I haven't installed them, but I am hopeful that they will fit the Edge better. -
Motortrend SUV of the year issue - January
cab2g replied to GT500R's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
what are the gear ratios in the MKX compared to the Edge Sport? I am guessing that the gears have closer ratios in the Sport to make it accelerate faster, while the gears are more spread out in the MKX to improve mileage... -
ha, well that makes the option sequence that much easier to remember!

You can private message FordService on this board once a week for updates. They can provide you a VIN and build/shipping updates. Or you can call Ford's customer service phone # 1 (800) 392-3673 option 1, 4, 5 You will need your order number and dealer ID. The dealer can give you both from the DORA form.

Just to update this thread, builds are now scheduled to start on 12/15

According the blueovalforums.com they re-scheduled the build start date to 12/15. I got my VIN though so they are scheduling custom orders, which is great.

Any solutions for a drill-less front license plate bracket?

I have one of these, they require drilling, but on the underside of the bumper... http://altecproducts.com/license-plate-frames/ -
I have a co-worker that transferred titles while under lease, additional documentation is required than your standard title transfer when financed or owned outright because the lease company owns the title, not you personally. I'd call your lease company before going to the DMV to get the proper paperwork for the title transfer.

just call and confirm coverage. they may have just stated that the registered state was VA because the system can't handle the primary location the vehicle is located to be any different from the state it is registered in. Just get whatever they say regarding coverage in writing. If your car is located in VA, your coverage needs to be for VA. If your car is located in MI, your coverage needs to be in MI. Where the vehicle is registered is a tax issue, not an insurance issue.

What does "Kona Blue" and "Too Good to Be Blue" look like?
cab2g replied to cab2g's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
I do think there is a little green in it, but it looks more like a grayish blue in person. -

Not to throw stones, but my chevy was built and delivered before GM updated their web site. They didn't have pricing out until my car was already built. Ford is doing a lot better than Chevy did in my book.

Maybe they're standard because if you get the sport model, lets be honest, you like to go fast

Is it just me or are none of the images showing up here: http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/gallery/photos/

With the 2015's they started actually building pre-production vehicles for employee leases etc before production officially started. Is that what they're doing this week until the official production start date of 12/4? Or are they still building 2015s??

2016 Titnanium AWD 2.0 301A with trailer tow. All the reviews say the 2.0 has more low end torque and it gets better mileage than the V6. I've driven both and I did like the acceleration of the 2.0 better. It should also help for towing.

This is the cheapest option. They are a real dealer: http://www.floodfordesp.com/ http://www.floodfordri.com/ http://www.floodfordri.com/section/secondary/about-us/(call them and verify all the details before you buy)

just open the cap on your brake fluid reservoir... that'll let some air in and your brakes will be much softer.... just kidding, don't do that!!!! In all seriousness I doubt there is much that can be done. They're electronically controlled and short of convincing Ford to change the braking system software, I don't know if there's much that can be done. Maybe if enough customers complain they'll address it in a future vehicle software update.

Check out these guys, they are all over the country. I used them to repair wheel rash and they were done in a couple hours: http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/wheel-straightening

There's a bunch in Chicago. I saw three when I was driving around the burbs at lunch. I saw a black sport, a black SEL and a blue titanium.

Pretty presumptive dealer you've got there... I mean, they have to earn your business before you write them a check. It's like saying to a girl on a first date to combine checking accounts.

You can also get an idea of pricing from Nadaguides.com or Edmunds.com both have updated pricing for 2016 models. I was actually able to order mine for a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the 2015 because they took out the heated steering wheel from the 301A package. I am not sure why they decided to bundle the heated steering wheel with all weather floor mats, but I don't think it's going to be a very popular option and it's sure to lower the average transaction price of the Edge for 2016. I mean a heated steering wheel is nice and all, but it's definitely a luxury that I don't think many people are going to clamor over and if it's only bundled with floor mats, there's not much reason to get that cold weather package. If they bundled with with something like heated washer fluid nozzles or remote start, I could see more people buying it because almost everybody that lives in cold climates hates having clogged washer fluid nozzles and getting into a frigid car in the morning. I was willing to pay the extra $$ when it was bundled with the panoramic roof and ventilated front seats, but as a stand alone option, it's just not appealing enough.
