I have yet to try a different phone. Not only do I have a new phone (S6) but I have a different ford edge..Same issue... It's really not that big of a deal, just a little weird when I hit accept call, I have to know when to say "Hello"

I upgraded to the S6 and bought a new 11 Edge sport. SAME ISSUE. Does anyone experience this? Issue: When a call comes in and I hit answer, there is a delay, the music comes back on like the call ended but then goes back off and I can finally speak. I'm very curious if this is a MFT problem or a Samsung/Android problem. I have not had the chance to test with any other phone.....

My old SEL MFT worked fine but I traded in for the sport and I've noticed some minor quirks with it. Sometimes when I turn the car on it takes a little longer than usual for the MFT and gauges to appear. Another time, when I turned the car off and opened the door, the ford splash symbol appeared as normal but with the radio interface still showing (which I thought was weird) but again a minor quirk. I'm a computer tech so lately I've been wondering exactly how the MFT components are setup. I'm curious how these things stay cool and ventilated. Do they have an intake or an exhaust? What is the lifespan of these computers and how does Ford support them? Regular extended warranty? I'm wondering what would happen if something went wrong with computer when my car is well beyond 125K. I've seen and read some horror stories about Sync, LUCKILY I have no real complaints about it myself.

I get about 15mpg AVG driving around town and that's with a light foot just cruising. Once I get on the freeway that numbers rises to about 17.5 I traded my SEL in where I saw about 18 to 19 AVG city and highway, so yea a little disappointment but I like the extra noticeable power.. Just to be clear, I'm getting these numbers from the Trip odometer. In the settings, you can choose to have "enhanced" mode where avg MPG and engine run time also displays. I'll still bring this up during the next maintenance, I'm already getting used to it. The more I drive this car, the more I realize how standard a 3.7 @ 305 should be for a car this heavy but then again for better fuel economy I can understand why only the sport version comes equipped the way it does. I'm happy with the upgrade overall. How has everyone else's experience been?

My new Edge came with an A3 and A4 Nav card, both for US/CAN. What I'm really looking for is a US/MEX nav card. Ebay does not seem to have these (still looking). Anyone know where I can find one? Would be nice if I could find a way to trade the A3 and A4 cards for a US/MEX A4 card..(Not trying to buy directly from ford yet)

Those buttons have no function when the car is in "Drive" and there is no OD feature. The shifting issues may just be coincidental with you touching the buttons. I've owned the SEL for about 3 years and I've noticed the shifting is not the best. Sometimes it will hesitate when shifting especially when being light on the gas pedal. One feature the car does have, and this is stated in the manual is when you take your foot off the pedal, the car will "aggressively" cut fuel flow to the engine for economy purposes. As you slow down the car will also downshift.

Thanks for that input! I'm noticing that the steering wheel gently pulls to the right a little when I accelerate then it eases off when I take my foot off of the pedal. Torque steer would be best description. It's so minor that I think I will wait till next oil change to bring it up unless there someone thinks this can potentially spiral into something worse. I'm still under the extended warranty so not too worried...

As far as I know they were aligned if that is what you mean. The car was sold to me as cert pre-owned WITH a busted strut, the same service dept that did the repair so I don't have too much confidence in them. BTW, the tires are new, perhaps they just need to wear in? Keep in mind the pull never occurs when going strait, only when on a curve or switching lanes is when I notice it. I'll take a look at the links.. Think I may just wait till next maintenance to bring it up. I'll just continue going to my regular dealer as with my previous car.

Just traded in for the 11 Sport and I'm very impressed with the added power. Just to confirm, I have the (265/40/22) wheels. I came from the SEL (245/60/18) One weird thing I noticed, the steering is a little funny. When I switch lanes or I'm holding on minor curve, I can feel some minor pulling the other way. I haven't yet been able to tell if it's when going to left or right yet, I've had the car for less than a week. I already had to take it in because the right front strut was busted, they replaced it and did an alignment so it may just be normal but I'm wondering, is this a typical characteristic of the size of wheels?

Is it a bad practice to top off tank?

So I had another anti rattle clip come off and this time I am looking to replace it myself. Can anyone provide the best instructions how how to do this with the Ford edge in particular? I know there are tons of videos for brake changing but I want to make sure I get the most relevant info for my issue and vehicle. Does the caliper even need to come off or is this something I can just snap in?

The other day I used the wireless internet and connected to my home wifi while in the driveway and wondering the same thing. So my car is connected to wifi, now what? From the previous posts, sounds like it the feature was created but Ford never followed through and it's basically useless?
