    As ole Brittney Spears said. Opps I did it again. Second Ford Edge to 285,500 miles and not one water pump failure. This video covers what I repaired comparing the two gens to each other.

    Just an update. Lulubelle is now peaking at 283,000 miles and will soon pass the Orange Crush in mileage. The 1.5 Gen however has proved to be a much better gen Edge as far as wear and tear. No major issues and that water pump is still pumping even though it is the OE water pump. Let head off to 300,000 and see what new territory looks like.

    Tested the rather not well known Maxx Oil products. Currently running a test on two Ford Edges under City and Highway conditions.

    In a celebration for my Youtube channel and for Lulubelle. I decided LU needed a spa day. First time every. 280,000 hard earned miles. This is the result.

    My current 2011 Ford Edge (Lulubelle) will soon be surpassing the Orange Crush 285,500 mile mark. At the rate things are going it seems the 1.5 Gen Edge has benefited from learned maintenance from the Orange Crush and I also believe some improved engineering from Ford. The 2011 is definitely holding up much better then the gen 1 Edge.

    A quick repair without needing to remove the interior panel off the hatch. Holding up well and no more door ajar notices.

    Approaching the 270,000 mile mark. So far I have gathered a complete front end suspension rebuild. Moog springs, MC strut bearing mounts, KYB struts, SKF Hub and wheel bearing kit for front, MC steering knuckles, Moog tie rod ends, One Moog LCA and One Detroit Axle LCA plus all new bolts etc. Epic front end rebuild going to happen in the spring. Hoping to rebuild the rear suspension sometime late summer.
