Rear security cover
shoulinpanther replied to shoulinpanther's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Meaning I have two solo baric S12L7's in the back and I wonder if it will rattle or not. Thank you for the information and that is exactly the information I was looking for. I appreciate the help. -
Does anyone have one of the edge rear security covers? How does it install? How hard is it to take out? Also do any of you that have one have a system and if you do does it rattle or make any noise?

My bad I am still new to the Edge so I wasn't aware that the 10' didn't have MFT.
-
Is your MFT up to date?

I don't have a front license plate bracket on mine but I will have to have one and am looking at going the route of the brackets that are suggested here. Has anyone else used these or had issues with them?

Welcome to the forums Sir, that is a very nice looking sport. I contemplated on a white one as I do love white vehicles but decided I wanted a Vader instead of Storm Trooper , a little nerd humor. Anyway there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum you should find just about anything you need answered.

Should i upgrade again?
shoulinpanther replied to AllenCasaletto's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Stock head unit or not an EQ to tune your frequency's is something that helps with sound quality. If you want louder bass the plastic box is going to have to go and you are going to want to either a the JL style stealth box or go bigger from there. Your focus had smaller space to fill with sound than your edge. Cleaner frequency will allow you to turn up your volume higher withough distortion and an EQ helps with that. Like I said there are numerous routes that you can take it just depends on the money you want to spend and which route you are trying to take.- 12 replies

Have you used an EQ or signal processor yet? That will improve your sound quality by giving you more options to tune your sound. Also do you have tweeters placed above the armrest or in the A-pillers as they are in the Edges with the factory upgraded stereo system? I would leave your speakers as is and then get set of tweeters for highs. I have no idea what your sound system sounds like but this is just some ideas I would go with. I am still in the process of researching the exact pieces I want for the rest of my stereo upgrades.- 12 replies

Morimoto 9012 kits
shoulinpanther replied to cwatkins's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
From one of the last posts that I read is if you take the O-ring off of the OEM bulb that seals the bulb to the housing and place it on the 9006 bulb in place of the O-ring that it comes with it will fit with out issues. -
I understand your frustration on this and so far have been keeping a log as well since I bought my edge and will keep a log for the cars life it kind of helps IMO. From all of this that I have ready in the numerous forms its fords computer that is pretty crappy.

how do you get that emblem off of there so that you can put the new one on?

Welcome! I am farely new as well but depending on what your interests or motivations are there are quite a few things I have found already. First thing I did to sport was adding more bass. Besides that I have seen a huge list of light changes, check out daytime britelites they have quite a few awesome options. Again. Welcome

Thats a pretty nice set up. As far as future mods it all depends on extra money and what not. I do have a second kid on the way so I am not going to spend money that I don't need to as of right now. Things I want to do or wish list so to speak are as follows. Tint the front windows to 18% to match the back, possibly darker tint on the back Replace all interior speakers with high end high quality components and of course amp and EQ them HID conversion not sure which to go with though as far was wattage but I am pretty sure I either wank 5k or 6k for color I want all the lights on the front to match color wise so I will probably need help finding out which ones to go with. LED switchbacks for the front DTBL Option 3's for the front stripe lights DTBL interior LED's Have the chrome pieces up front painted to match the car, and debadge the rest of the car. I am not a chrome fan unless its on the wheels but not the whole wheel. Black Ford Logo Emblems front and back. Maybe lower it as well just not sure I want to mess with that on this car. I have never had a ride that wasn't lowered in some form or fashion.

I love loud music, and I love loud bass. It is something I have been doing since I was 16 and it has stuck with me for years. This current upgrade is 2 Kicker S12L7's with dual 4ohm voice coils. Paired with a rockford punch 1000. I used a LOC (line out converter) it is tapped in the wire harness at the driver kick panel then RCA's are ran through the interior. Everything is hidden except the box of course. This was all done professionally this is the first vehicle I have owned that I did not do myself. It sounds amazing and can be turned up to destroy ear drums if the need arises. Here are some shots of my civic that I had before this that I did myself.

Amp install location???
shoulinpanther replied to az_edge's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I have done stereos for several years myself, and did the complete custom install on my honda but after buying the edge and not being up to snuff with all of the newer style cars as well as this not being my profession I didn't want to mess anything up. Take it to a professional place. It will save you stress and headaches in the future Here is my new stuff. -
