Lee1 and Group, I don't know if certain models have the vents but mine sure doesn't. I got underneath with a flashlight, looked everywhere, no vents, slits nothing that even looked like a vent. Mine is a 2013 SEL. It was built January 2013, don't know if that would make any difference unless ford discontinued the vents because of the exhaust smell?? Larry

Cellbine, Did you buy your edge new? If so you should have Basic 3 year / 36,000 miles , Drivetrain 5 year / 60,000 miles, Roadside 5 year / 60,000 miles, Rust 5 year / Unlimited miles, from Ford. If you bought used then you have what you bought. I have a 2013 edge. If I end up keeping it past the 3yr/36,000 I'll check around for Ford ESP plans. As long as you buy the ESP plan before the 3yr/36,000 is up the rates are cheaper. Check prices here, http://www.floodfordesp.com/ I just checked on mine. I used 35,000 miles for reference. cost was $1120.00 7yr/125,000 but actually it's only 4 yrs. because ESP plans start at the vehicles original retail date and mileage. so mine would start with 65 miles and purchase date Feb.8,2013. Ends up costing $1120.00 for 4 yrs. = $280.00 per yr. One trip to the garage to get almost anything fixed will cost $280.00 plus. Just my two cents. Larry

Jared, Very sorry. Pet's are like our kids. There should be more laws passed to protect our pets. You read and hear every day about the sick things so called humans do to animals. You say the guy said his pants were torn from Riley. Well that's possible BUT I bet the a--hole kicked him first to cause Riley to defend himself. I' m not saying this happened BUT is possible. Hi All, Haven't had my SEL on a trip yet. My driving so far is county roads and two lane highway. For the last 1700 miles it has averaged 24.4mpg. I'm not too impressed with that. Mine is supposed to get 19 city/ 27 highway. Plan on taking a trip this Oct. from Northern,Indiana to GatlinburgTn/ Cherokee,Nc from there to Pensacola,Fl and back home. Haven't had my 13 sel on a trip yet. I've only clocked 2500 miles. I quit messing with the #2 trip at about 900 miles. For the past 1600 miles I've averaged 24.7 mpg I'm not pleased but knew what the mpg was claimed when I bought it 19/27. Drive county roads and two lane highways. Haven't ran more than a 100 miles at one time. Plan on taking a run to Pensacola, Fl. this fall. ( Oct. ) About 950 miles one way. Probably with the running around there , will put on close to 2500/2600 miles. See what it averages then. I've added window air deflectors and removed the front plate holder since this pic. Cellbine, Better hang on to your ride. Never heard of one averaging that much. I have a 13 SEL 3.5 only have 2500 miles on it. Bought it in Feb. this year. Got very poor mileage until warm weather broke. Still nothing to brag about. I played with the trip meters when I first got it. I quit messing with trip 2 at about 900 miles. Since then I have 1600 plus miles at 24.6 average. This is county roads and two lane highways , no more than 50 miles per trip. Plan on taking a road trip this fall ( Oct. ) about 3000 miles, hopefully it will average better. Not too impressed with the mileage. I had a 04 Ford Freestar minivan that averaged 22/23 MPG on a trip. I'm hoping for at least 25 MPG with the Edge. Guess I knew what the MPG was when I bought the Edge 19/27. Nightshades would probably work very good. The only problem I see it states the paint is almost impossible to remove. The cheap flat black I used will come off with rubbing alcohol and some work. No damage to the plastic. I know because I sprayed too much on the first time. Took it all off and started over. Just one quick spray across the top of the sensor. Let dry overnight, buff the overspray off with paper towel or cloth. You can't tell buy looking the sensor has been painted. I practiced with other items to get the pattern I wanted. Update on this fix.. I've noticed on very dark overcast days the lights will come on ( that's good ) but if the sun peeks out and shines on the front of the car the lights will go off. Sun hides again, lights will come back on. Could be annoying to someone you a following.. So in this case ( rare ) I turn the lights on manually. This fix isn't perfect. Maybe that's why ford made the sensor the way they did?????? Larry Northern,Indiana

I purchased the samething you have, didn't even try to install it, looked to big and bulky for my taste also didn't want to drill. I'm thinking about the clear skin or the aeroskin but not sure about sticking directly to the paint?? Anyone used the stick on deflectors? I kind of wish I would have got silver but the boss wanted ruby red. Ours is a plain SEL cloth etc. everthing we need. So far we like it, only 1700 miles on it. We've been averaging 23/24 per gallon. There is one thing that I really don't like. The door stop arms with the crazy two notches/curves , makes the door go when you don't want it to. Ours was $27,500 out the door.
