  1. different transmission, but my 15 Sport had a leak that took 7 months to diagnose as a cracked transmission housing. I'd get it looked at as soon as possible and keep an eye on it, even after they say they "fixed" it. Mine was supposedly fixed 3 times. 4th time was a new housing after they finally found the crack, dunno what they "fixed" the previous 3 times.
  2. are they switchback LEDs? or single color? I know switchbacks wont work.
  3. did the H15 work prior too? if you are in the US, are your DRLs turned off in the left gauge cluster menu? I've never changed this bulb because I simply have it turned off as it's completely useless
  4. if parked long enough it will be an issue. If you have hard water and just rinse the car, you will get etched water spots in the area also.
  5. back up to Sept of 2017 when I had Matt of Ultimate Performance make my FMIC (which I ended up passing to James Bishop due to shipping to Hawaii) I also had him look into the Edge for the downpipe. Totally doable with Pie Cuts, not prefabbed pipping. I then reached out to Boden Autohaus to see about a full turbo back titanium exhaust since my Edge was going to be sitting in Cali for about a month, and this was the plan (expensive plan) as they said the same exact thing as Matt. Car was going to be shipped directly to Boden, but due to the lovely world of military paperwork, shit got all changed. It's still the plan, just on hold. One great aspect. I have no need to worry about a blown PTU. Parts being made is not the issue, it's the maker/supplier of parts that will attract other companies. "Mom and Pop" shops like Ulitmate Performance and Ecopowerparts, don't generate enough. H&R dropped springs and now look, you have more than one spring option on the market.
  6. I'm totally confused, I've never responded to you in this thread and I was referencing Jim, So you either speak on your Dad's behalf or he just uses multiple screen names to keep us all entertained
  7. I suggest you look into FMVSS Standard No. 108. which governs the NHTSA laws on automobile lighting. I'll save you the long version though. If DRL is present in the housing, it MUST turn off when signaling (same goes for tail light DRLS). If the DRL is outside of the headlight housing, must be further than 100mm from the center of the optical source or it to will have to turn off. NHTSA rules is also why American LED headlight technology sucks and is a decade behind the world. Audi is trying and fighting hard to fix this, and is progressing pretty good evidently as all Audi Q8s that are sold in North America come with Eurospec LED tech, but "turned off" to comply with NHTSA and soon as the law changes, owners can go to dealer to get them activated for free.
  8. Ford uses it's Integrated Exhaust Manifold on the transverse 2.7 motor, the turbo is the "header" as the exhaust manifold is cast with the block. Neither Fusion Sport or Edge has traditional "headers." The turbos are identical, the mounting is identical. Even the bigger 3.0 turbos will bolt right up to the the fusion/edge. The only real difference in the motors is the cooling configuration. The power difference, is simply a tuning difference. I don't post nonsense just to see myself type.
  9. See, now you are getting personal. I have no problems admitting when wrong.I have a problem with people making claims as their own that someone else achieved. I have no issue posting negative results I get back from my parts. My time slips don't mysteriously go missing cause I don't like the results and I don't try to keep races hidden if I don't like how they ended. You said that 3in bend couldn't be made. It has been done, A LONG TIME AGO. Edge/Fusion irrelevant the bend has been done. saying otherwise is the exact same as APR claiming to have the fastest 5cyl Audi and then adding "coupe" to the end of the convo cause they can't beat the IROZ RS3 Sedan. You didn't ID and source an adjustable BOV, cause Edges were running it in 2015. You didn't ID & Source the IC cause Chris' had already done that too. I think he would let you take the credit for the lower grill mod too though. You are probably a cool ass guy, but your personal gratification with your Edge is way too high, nobody cares who does what and when. You can take my credit for the H&R Springs too though, it only took me two years of emails to get them on market. That should improve your status even more on this forum.
  10. wheel wells is easy, take them completely off, clean them out. Then get a pair of pliers and squeeze the metal together and walk your way all the way down the trim. then reapply them. I did mine in October and they haven't even budged since.
  11. notice I never said Edge, I said platform. Just stating, a good fabricator and some pie cuts goes a very long way. Just cause someone in your area couldn't do it, doesn't mean it can't and hasn't been done. Only reason they haven't been bolted up to an Edge is due to location and the fact that only 1% of the Edge population mods. Though, I wouldn't expect anyone who claims to have ID'd a BOV almost 2 years after multiple people are using it to accept anything outside of what they are doing. Doesn't bother me, really could careless. Even with downpipes, tuned conti will still gap it like it did last time on the highway.
  12. I've read the OP, but when you said major breakthrough I was sorta confused as if, just the fact they were done and installed was the major breakthrough or if I was missing something. first mass produced, yeah. but 3in downpipes have been available for the platform since dec of 2017. you have done amazing things for the edge man, gone places nobody else is going to go. applaud you for that. Though, I wasn't even the first one with the BOV and I got mine in May of 2016. Honestly, my edge is at a point of pretty much being done and accepting where it's at so I can focus on my next car.
  13. they are bolted on, I took mine off and wrapped them
  14. you only have horizontal if you took a dremel to your headlight, Ford encloses all it's horizontal adjustments.
  15. NA LED is severely lacking. The real LED power is across the pond.
  16. LED is a directional light source. Halogen and HID are omnidirectional. you do know your headlights have an adjustment knob to rotate the projector to aim the beam right.
  17. the optics designed around the LED Diode give it it's trajectory. LEDs cannot mimic a HID Hot Spot and as I said, to compensate, they are aimed higher. Ask anyone involved in lighting and they will tell you, 99% of all NA OEM LED factory lights, are aimed to high.
  18. NA LED cars from factory are aimed slightly higher, this is due to current LED tech not having the depth of HID yet, to compensate, they have to aim them a tad higher.
  19. New Mexico, not Az Been making intercoolers and dowpipes since 2017
  20. Welcome to the small world of Edge. Just for size comparisons, say your mazda is supported by the aftermarket community with 1,000. parts, you just bought a vehicle with about 10 on the market and thats 10 with mom and pop shops, not big brand aftermarket support since 2015. Happy modding, wont take long to max it out.
  21. Just remove your front bumper, unbolt front eblem from grille, undo the plastic weld holding the blue/chrome together, paint and then plastic weld it back together. The rear is just double sided tape. Though you could probably go out and measure with tape quicker than me. My edge is 2,000. miles away
