What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
Nick Halstead replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I took my front bumper off, just cause I wanted to see how it was put on.. -
Boredom was upon me and I had no clue what I was walking into. Took way longer than I wanted it too but thanks to a thread on here with the dealer tech sheets, it made it go a little faster. needless to say, the middle bolt on both sides of the fender did not go back in. Without taking the wheels off it took about an hour to get those 6 bolts out! Due to the front cameras washer fluid sprayer, I didn't go any futher than this. I really don't recommend taking the bumper off unless you have some kind of patience...lol. I believe I have found a way to get the headlight out without doing all this also. I have to test that out tomorrow.

Fantastic HID Headlight Kit
Nick Halstead replied to rwf78155's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I'm gonna jump in this topic for a hot second because there is a lot of "semi" true and false info in this post. The reason you are getting flashed is not because they are brighter, it's because instead of putting the light where it belongs with a halogen bulb/halogen projector setup. You put in a HID bulb into a halogen projector which has it's reflective bowls set up for...a halogen bulb. By placing a HID bulb into a halogen projector you get an illusion that it's 5,000% brighter and though it is brighter, the "usable" light is not much better. I will admit HIDs in halogen projectors are way better on oncoming traffic than HIDs in regular halogen headlights. Think of an all black room and you get a flashlight and put it in front of your chin facing up (think scary movies) and you turn it on, you really can't see that good but it's extremely bright! That's kinda what HIDs in wrong reflectors look like to oncoming traffic. adjusting your headlights to aim down does not help oncoming traffic and just gives you, the driver less light to work with. Dan sells an amazing product as he takes all the guess work out for those who aren't that up to date with all the newest lighting trends and etc. Ideally you would want your cutoff to look like this, but it wont happen unless you retrofit a HID projector and then tune the shield. OEM don't even look this good. -
I dunno, depends when the rain stops here and I get the wheels off to wax them

Well, someone is gonna get lucky, traded in my 2013 SE with the drivebright DRLs and Steeda Rear Sway Bar on it. Was totally spur of the moment!
-
Yeah I had to pay an extra $55. For hawaii shipping. I bit the bullet thinking there should be no reason why it shouldn't fit and then bought it and installed it sent pics back to steeda. It had been on ebay for about 2 months and I got tired of staring at it.

The steeda bar is a 1in bar. The size difference isn't monumental as my stock fwd bar was 7/8th an inch. Steeda is clearing out its edge inventory. They will also be posting the very last steeda edge intake very soon!

I have had it on for about 2 weeks now on my 34k 2013 SE FWD. 10 minute install and Steeda only has about 3 left. I instantly noticed an improvement on my favorite on ramp on the night after the install was complete! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Steeda-2008-Ford-Edge-Rear-Swaybar-for-2-wheel-drive-only-PN-555-1059-/171919000907

H&R install ~3 hours, tips and tricks
Nick Halstead replied to IXIVI's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Its because the front wheel well is bigger than the rear wheel well. It has a higher arch to allow more suspension travel due to the weight in the engine bay. All vehicles have larger front wheel wells for this purpose -
Little bit of this and that, followed by desanding my cars

Rodriquez Range for 45 days though I did a lot of driving from Camp Casey, to Osan to Humphreys. GLWS, I need some with a HID upgrade, may end up building my own if I can come across a set of lights cheap enough
-
Asad works with him. Projector upgrade on these also? I was just in S. Korea in March.
-
I'd love to see the backside, Francis is known for some lazy builds
