Probably not. Would probably need the whole knuckle and then you would have to make sure the rims cleared them

MFS Bluetooth Streaming Error
Nick Halstead replied to tloewenberg's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
My 13 started having that issue on the previous update. It did it probably 4 times in less than a year. Just unplug the battery and then plug it back up. No wait time. I tested waiting and now waiting. -

fog lights...hid or led?
Nick Halstead replied to fit1446's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
HIDs/LEDs in halogens kinda do the same thing with creating more foreground light instead of shooting the light where you need it -
You're not gonna really a notice a difference when driving with a 21 or 20in rim. A 19 and 21 yeah. Personally I wanted the 21s and AWD but I wasnt waiting for one to get shipped to Hawaii.

fog lights...hid or led?
Nick Halstead replied to fit1446's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Each bulb type requires specific reflective properties to aim the light. Halogen works best in Halogen reflective lighting, HID works best in HID housings and LED in LED housings. People assume that their HIDs are brighter than there old Halogens when they swap because the bulb characteristics have changed and the housing cannot properly aim them and usually create a ton of foreground light. This makes the swap seem brighter because honestly, it is but it's not putting the light down the road where you want it. I call this the "flashlight in front of face effect" because everything is focused right in front of you with no distance. As far as Halogen bulbs, Philips Xtreme Vision and GE Nighthawks are highly recommended in the retrofit community A visual of "flashlight in front of face" -

fog lights...hid or led?

Thanks for understanding. Lighting is a touchy subject and people think just cause things plug in, that they will work the same and it doesn't work like that. -

Thanks guys. Now there are better halogen bulbs on the market but usually the better the bulb the shorter the life. -

just start unbolting things. It's not really hard, I honestly can't walk you through it but the 13 is a lot easier than my 15!! -
yeah Foreground illumination is a false sense of lighting to the unknown. Those who put plug n play kits in and are like. My lights are 10x brither now!!! No buddy they just focus the light directly in front of the car now instead of throwing it down the road where you need it.

Was going to post this in my vinyl thread but didn't know how many people would actually see it anybody have a diagram or can make a video of removing them? They do pull out a little but it seems like there is a bolt holding them behind the airbag cover and I don't want to go yanking things out and break more stuff.

Well if you have seen the gallery or are a member of the FEWW facebook group, then you know I'm wrapping all the chrome/gray pieces red. Today I started the tear down.

Advice with light
Nick Halstead replied to remsleep's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
That looks horrible. You shouldnt have such prominent hotspots with HID. The objective is to evenly spread the light not focus it on 2 direct spots. Granted thats something you can't fix without swapping to a HID projector.
