20" to 21" wheels, do I need to reprogram my odometer?
Nick Halstead replied to roots57's topic in Wheels & Tires
if you are gonna run the OEM 21in tire size then no, you don't...Good luck on them 21s tho. 21in tires I want are almost $700 a piece. No way I'm paying $2,800. just in tires! -
I spent 2010-late 2014 testing new fielding equipment for the Army. The number one issue with all things was "can we get it cheaper somewhere else" military grade, just means it made to break so the contractor can rape more money out the DOD
-
OEM being the best is about the same as saying "military grade" when describing a product. that shit goes to the lowest bidder, not the bidder with the best product.
-
If OEM was the gold standard, all my body panels and trim would line up from the factory and we would never have recalls

Nick Halstead replied to Jasheffield07's topic in Wheels & Tires
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 21.8mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 41.8mm more than before. www.willtheyfit.com -
This makes me wonder if it's my issue, I had "oil" sitting in certain areas on top the engine that appeared out of nowhere and I wondered how it could get that high

I assume this is a dual valve setup

I think you need to share these sits because only thing I seem to find is cheap kyb/monroe/motorcraft as the only options across various sites on the net -

there's one other option that nobody has tried yet. maybe you can be the test mule. since you aren't lowered it will be a good test. seller is legit as he's also a member of FEWW, just don't pay attention to model years listed, they go by build dates http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-2016-Ford-Edge-Lincoln-MKX-2nd-SUV-Strut-Tower-Chassis-Bar-Brace-Ladder-Set-/122084222697 -
H&R SPORT SPRINGS ON G2 EDGE SPORT

subframe drop is such a pleasure, omg...I fought one side for hours and finally got it out. then after I got it out, I remembered the subframe...so much easier, literally took 30 mins to pull my drivers side spring out and button everything back up. I have abour 3k on my springs now. -

just an FYI, the lowering springs on the 07-14 Edge do not lower the vehicle enough to mess with ride quality, wont affect driving through snow. In fact, when installed, unless you tell someone they wont even know cause the drop is so minimal. Drop is over an inch, but the stock wheel well gap is so large that only Edge owners would know you were lowered.

Aftermarket led tail lights
Nick Halstead replied to Allen0511's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I assume you mean LED bulbs, not the whole assembly. if you do some research (assuming you don't know anything about next few lines I type) you can turn off the bulb out notification via a laptop program called Forscan and a OBDII device- 1 reply

H&R SPORT SPRINGS ON G2 EDGE SPORT
Nick Halstead replied to Xtra's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I've been on these springs for going on 3 months now, No complaints at all. It's a lot more sporty and exactly how the car should have been from the factory. the 2nd gen ford fusion how to for lowering works perfectly for our edge, I totally forgot to drop the rear subframe on one side, took almost 5 hours. then remembered and the other side took 30 mins to swap that spring.
