MRT AXLE -BACK EXHUAST FOR G2 EDGE SPORT AWD
Nick Halstead replied to Xtra's topic in Accessories & Modifications
person I know that installed it and went custom prior to getting rid of the edge, didn't like it cause it was too much like stock. So much so that his wife asked him when he was installing the exhaust. To which he replied he did it 2 months ago. Wife said it sounded too close to OEM to warrant the $$$ purchase -

I know one person who installed this and was not happy, eventually he went full custom -
a v8 would be quite difficult, there just isn't enough room let alone the fact that most V8s are RWD and that's a whole other issue. I would say, your BEST choice would be to try and squeeze a newer 2.7TT ecoboost motor in there, it will fit. and it comes in both fwd and awd models so more parts to work with, will have to upgrade trans too. all in all, I'd say if done at home, in your garage, probably a $8,000. swap

H&R SPORT SPRINGS ON G2 EDGE SPORT
Nick Halstead replied to Xtra's topic in Accessories & Modifications
they are made to order and ship from Germany. The first initial run was only 4 sets of springs, at which I was able to get the 1st one made period. Aaron Vaccar will have 2 sets in stock also and will price match them. -
I don't even use mine, unless car is already dirty, if not I keep invisible glass and towels in the cargo area

H&R SPORT SPRINGS ON G2 EDGE SPORT

I'm running Toyo Proxes STII which has a treadwear rating of like 420 I believe, drastic improvement over my hankooks with a 660. -
Your headlights suck
Nick Halstead replied to foghelmut's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
a light source is only as it's projector. H9 mod is a very good alternative. I did it on my Fusion headlights and foglights and my wife was happy with it compared to the H11. -

20" to 21" wheels, do I need to reprogram my odometer?
Nick Halstead replied to roots57's topic in Wheels & Tires
don't read too much into sport suspension. The harsh ride is due to lack of sidewall, anytime wheel size increases and sidewall decreases your ride is going to suffer no matter what suspension you have -
The first heavily modded edge?
Nick Halstead replied to Edge4zMtns's topic in Accessories & Modifications
your edge is 2013? Livernois has nothing for you. Neither does the aftermarket world. Almost anything you do will be 100% custom. If you have the 2.0 Ecoboost, you have ZERO tuning support and outside of a standalone engine management system wont get any support. But yes, HnR makes springs that barely lower the 07-14 Edge, and Rotora makes a big brake kit that is currently on clearance. -
need some better tires

20" to 21" wheels, do I need to reprogram my odometer?
Nick Halstead replied to roots57's topic in Wheels & Tires
what they are designed for is irrelevant, it's the fact they fit a need. Trying to transfer almost 400 ft lbs of tq is not an easy fwd feat and when the first 1.5 seconds of a 0-60 run is nothing but spinning, yes you need tires that actually perform and hook instead of spinning and sliding with the torque steer. The OEM Hankooks at like a 660 rating were trash, my current Toyo Proxes are amazing compared to them. -

yes music only, it's nowhere near full, only sitting at 6,500 songs. I use the smaller flash drive for more current music instead of adding to the TB drive and it having to index itself. I do add to it once in a while but I try and wait for the flash drive to get some gigs on it first. BUT! since I switched to apple, and now have apple music, I don't even mess with the USB drives in my Edge or the wifes Audi which uses car play

20" to 21" wheels, do I need to reprogram my odometer?
Nick Halstead replied to roots57's topic in Wheels & Tires
They have since gone down. But I wouldn't ride on a 600+ UTQG rating if paying out my own pocket. So I would never buy the Verde's listed. Shit I was looking for Mickey Thompsons for my own car. I never said ALL 21s are $700. I said the ones I WANT are -
I have a 1TB drive hooked up to one USB port and another 64GB flash drive that I use to play "updated" music

I like to get my power to the ground so I'm not running a hard compound tire, some of you might like that 600+ treadwear rating but thats killing performance http://www.dunloptires.com/en-US/tires/sp-sport-01-tires?ub=Y&updatecase=passivelyStored&action=save&webprodid=269&productcode=26502232100000 -
If all you do is a tune, it's totally worth it. I run a 92 tune via Unleashed. You would be fine at the dealer pending you took some measures and/or how cool you dealer is. always flash back to the stock file before trip to dealer. Even if it's for a taillight warranty claim or anything, better safe than sorry. If you are having a mech issue my advice is to flash back to stock, then clear all the codes that don't make the CEL go off (soft codes are in the system when you flash back to stock) when you flash it reset's key cycles/miles back to zero so dealer (if they look or are suspicious) can see something was just done. I normally flash back to stock and let the wife drive it for a week and get some miles and key cycles on it. I've also never had a warranty issue due to a tune. shoot, I load my tune back before I leave the lot.

That's the craziest thing I've heard all day. Totally will not void your warranty. Though if you went to a heavy chrome 22/4 then yeah they might deny the claims akirby stated, but you will be perfectly fine with aftermarket rims, shit most dealers now will sell you the car with aftermarket rims if you ask. No way in hell I'd buy the factory 21s though, thats just me though.
