What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
Nick Halstead replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
yeah I just got the vinyl in to change my interior color scheme and to wrap my audi's chrome. Sadly, I don't have an Edge to work on and it may not even get wrapped at this point. May just go back to stock completely and wait it out to see what happens with lemon. I detail and wrap for that relaxation also man. I've got a f150 in for a paint correction and ceramic coating the body/wheels/glass -

If the ride height was adjusted, I'd believe the suspension to be different, but we are also in the age of profit so until parts # are different or some engineer gets asked the questions, I'm going with it's a carry over suspension! -

your gonna need this and it's going to be a nightmare when you go to remove whether it sticks of not https://www.amazon.com/3M-Tape-Primer-94-Vinyl/dp/B01IDXRADK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1515890410&sr=8-3&keywords=3m+94+primer -
I guess it improves throttle response as much as a TB spacer. with my logs, Torrie noticed not a single difference with/without

The current Sport has a Sport tuned suspension. Notice it says sport tuned suspension and not ST tuned suspension -

It wont stick to thay area as xtra said. I think there is a pic of my car on forum but its photoshopped -
You got all this from me saying it barely goes off when tuned and will basically never go off unless really pushing the car in stock form?

wife is actually looking into the Lemon Law now. Hawaii is 2 years 24,000 miles, but considering my issues started before either. She's gonna call a lawyer...Maybe it will make the way for this creation! Hi-Res version https://www.flickr.com/photos/jnhalstead/39598888612/ Low-Res -
in my initial emails with Matt. He said the first intercooler would be discounted at $850, the rest would be in the 4 digit range, I then passed that intercooler to James once we figured shipping to Hawaii was gonna be a pain in the rear. Though it's been a minute. I could see him doing a group buy @850 though. Honestly, I'm waiting on the sizing of CPe to compare to Matts

leaking where the transmission/engine meet. Took it in in Oct 2015, Ford had it for 14 days and said yeah it's leaking, we can't find it. We dyed the fluids to see which fluid it is. Gave it back. I took it back in March of 2016. They had it again for 2 weeks said they found issue, but then never got around to fixing it. Gave it back to me. Then they had it from May-Sept. and replaced Torque Converter seal while I was deployed in Asia. Wife threw a fit cause service writer said they would have it for 10 days. Dealership made a few payments to ease the pain. I got back from my deployment, put her on ramps, broke out the PDF, retraced all the steps needed to remove transmission, logged every missing trim piece, hose clamp they didn't hook back up. Also found out the damn thing was still leaking. Took it in back in begninning of Nov. They had it for a week again, dyed the fluids AGAIN, gave it back to me AGAIN and then I went back in on my own on Dec5th and they took the car back and service writer called and said they "found the real" problem and that the transmission housing is irregular. Then waiting on Ford to tell them the next step. week later, they call and Ford wants to do a bench test. results come back, my internals are still good, I will have car Dec 28th, then I will get car Jan 10, now I will get the car end of Jan. So I am expecting another delay here and it's getting close to May when I have to ship the car to San Diego so my wife/2kids/choc lab/2 cats can drive cross country. My wife is beyond pissed... I've been looking at SRT Durango's and Audi Q7s -

It's actually both. As Corporate Ford was the hold up for a whole week while they decided on new housing or full new transmission as corporate engineers looked over my bench test results -

well ford called and said my car wouldn't be ready now for 2 more weeks. They have had it since Dec 5th and so far a total of 119 days and counting since Oct 2015. This is getting really annoying. For those wondering, this started as supposedly leaking torque converter and now it seems my Transmission Housing is irregular says Big Ford. The plus is, my internals passed the bench test. Though I'd rather just get a whole new transmission. Though this dealer is making me lose all interest in my Edge, which is a pretty big statement from me for obvious reasons. -
I've had my BOV on for 2 years now. It's more a sound mod and even then you have to really work to make the BOV go off when tuned. If not tuned, the thing will hardly ever go off on stock driving.

It will help, ceramic is def the way to go for any car imo. upfront costs suck if you can't fork over the money, but then you really don't have to wax your car at all. Maintaining the ceramic with a Sio2 based detail spray is key to it's longevity also I'd recommend CarPro's reload once a month to keep the longevity of the ceramic. Chase and the IPAD crew do amazing work

expensive does not equal better (sylvania silverstars/zxe as a prime example). Plug in LEDs are a piece of crap, and put more light into oncoming traffics eyes than oncoming traffic deserves. I'd rather use two oil wick lanterns and walk than blind the rest of my fellow drivers and have shitty lighting

I will wait for you to find me replacement bulbs for those headlights...

They are brighter, they generate more foreground light, which makes you think they are brighter. There is a very good reason no manufacturer of any automobile on this planet uses a LED Headlight bulb. The halogens you had in had more usable light. Brighter does not mean better. If it did we would all have flood lights mounted. to properly align your lights, you need to be 25ft from a solid wall and your lights should look like the pic below, but they will not look like that since you are running the wrong bulb

I have some old Morimoto XB LED (7440), that are discontinued. If I had to buy new bulbs now, It would be these. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/led-bulbs/exterior-interior-bulbs/7440-profile-peak-led-bulbs.html -
