ANC only works when the radio is off

yeah I seen the fusion install, I had a lengthy convo about a year ago with Troy of CD3Performance as he was trying to get them to make it for the Edge or something, I can't recall whole story but I remember the conversation was had and it was decided against making them for the Edge. My issue besides that is, I'd never pay their prices for what it is, granted I know people will but to me, for what you get, amount of material, it's overpriced for me. I'd rather pay 4 digits for an intake and pipes that I know would be beneficial than pay 3 digits for 10 in of narrow plastic.

From my understanding, they already attempted this on an EDGE, would require complete removal of shutter system or something I can't recall the whole story. This is where the Fusion and Edge get different though. I'd still rather have hard pipes throughout before a snorkel for my intake though.

Just need someone to make this style and pipes that run to both turbos! https://www.performancebyie.com/ie-rs3-ttrs-cold-air-intake
-
it wont, I inquired when they first released a teaser pic way before Sema, It's only 1 hard pipe too, the backside. Though the stock intake is a far better option.

you would have to do a whole front end swap, hood/fenders (sport may work)/radiator support/headlights/front bumper/grill/fogs/wiring

yeah, this was at SEMA this year. They beat me to Aaron Vaccar's rear mounts for the Edge setup. There's nothing new on this Edge, it literally has all the same mods as the previous 3 SEMA builds and this one actually has the rear mounting bracket for the airbag setup from Aarons that I was trying to buy.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

I change them about every 6 months, that's about when I get bored of them -

just some basic 194 bulbs from superbrightled, been replacing lights in my son's prelude (it stole all my mod passion since it's old and easy to mod and actually has aftermarket parts) and snagged some for the edge in the process -

Carbon coking intake valves - direct injection

I dont think the transverse has evolved to gen2 yet. When reading about the 2.7 90% of it seems to be about the F150 which you cant assume the transverse 2.7 has same changes. Does not work like that. -
shit, I removed mine, all they do is rattle around and make this annoying noise in my car.

Take both seals off car, grab pliers. With pliers squeeze the seals metal so its tight. Walk your way down the whole seal with the pliers, reinstall. Mine have not budged since I did this

The performance is there, just needs a more engaging transmission or allow me to manually shift gears with the shift knob also instead of paddles. I had an explorer for a few months while Edge was in the shop. 3rd row, IMO makes that vehicle a total waste. Some people are content with buying a 3rd row SUV and perm leaving 3rd row down for more space. That defeats whole purpose of buying a 3 row vehicle. If it was only two rows with all that cargo space, I would love the explorer.

Tune (since 2015 nobody has bothered to make an intake for this motor) will not allow the turbos to be heard. Will need some hard pipes for that to happen. Ford has resonators in the factory piping

We are referring to the ST 8spd transmission though. Not the 6F55, 6F55 is boring in every vehicle its in. Handles power but boring
-
I was just upset its not a performance orientated transmission. Edge is just bluntly fast. My Audi, slow as balls with maybe 200hp 240tq at wheels but is 1,000% more of a blast to drive due to the dual clutch.

I don’t think I’ve ever had an arguement with anyone in the last 20 years besides when my uniform is on. Debating back and forth on a forum does not define itself as an arguement. Just like comparing a 2015 Edge Sport with 40,000 miles suspension to a 2019 ST with 100 miles is not a valid comparison, it is an opinion. People try and justify their purchases and that clouts their true results. I’m not saying that is the case here. We all know the ST has a better suspension, how much does that transfer over to actually notice, Id say not too much that the average person would ever notice if they drove them back to back brand new. I don’t have any allegience to Ford and don’t have a favorite car maker. 11 Fusion Hybrid, 13 Edge SE, 15 Edge Sport and I have watched Fords quality control with fitment degrade through the years. Looking back, I think the Edge Sport is about 20k too high on MSRP for what you get. Still love my Sport but its built like a $25k car not almost a $50k car. I call it like I see it, thats all I know man, some people cannot handle that and that does not mean i need to change my ways to assist their sensitivity levels.
