For the record, he is not talking OTC Ceramic, he is actually talking about top of the line (hence the exotics) ceramics and yes most need to be sanded off. The average person is not getting this ceramic, even when they opt for Professional grade stuff not available over the market. Ceramics come off with a simple compound or polish depending on the product. Marketing has ruined ceramic cause it has the population thinking its fire proff/scratch proof/never need to wash again/etc etc. Actually Ceramic is more high maintenance than normal. Have to use PH Neutral soaps so it maintains the hydrophobic properties and when the coating gets clogged you have to unclog it to get those properties back. Needless to say, as a weekend warrior detailer who does paint correction and coatings, my own cars will probably never see wax again.

no real performance gains without a tune. I'd imagine sound will be deeper. I'd be shocked honestly, they are probably "refitting" their FWD inventory to work that they never sold.

yeah, on my fusion I could only find the basic philips also

H9 is best way to go to stay low cost while getting most improvement. you can literally get a H9 for $9. and you gain 90% more lumens. from the 1,350 lumens of the h11 to the 2,150 of a H9 bulb https://www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum/general-discussion/halogens/1409801-ryan-s-guide-to-halogen-bulbs I don't agree running the wrong bulb type in wrong projector, So to run HID, I'd be cutting open your oem headlights and installing a HID projector.

I normally back in on one way too. Even in parking garages, if not I park next to pillar or at the very top. If I cant find a safe spot where nobody is going to hit my car, I'll park down the street. I literally go out the way when it goes to parking. Me parking at wifes job in Waikiki for lunch, using my fusion as a nice buffer 1 -

well yeah, before you get in, you observe your surroundings, verify that likely hood of anyone coming is slim and then proceed to back out. It sucks, but it's not hard. Yes a camera makes it easier. Though that shouldn't be a deal breaker in a purchase imo -
H9 bulb hierarchy Tier 1 (+150): Philips Racing Vision Tier 2 (+130): Philips X-Treme Vision <-- Osram Night Breaker Laser <-- GE Nighthawk Xenon Tier 3 (+100): Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited <-- GE Nighthawk Platinum Basic bulbs: Philips/Osram clear "standard/original". you would be better off retrofitting HID projectors into current housings than using fords horrible oem projector.

Edge ST 180 Degree Rear Camera
Nick Halstead replied to JCrew7384's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
it's actually almost 2 decades after 2000. For one, I park to leave, so 100% of the time I am backed in. Two, I'd question why two trucks parked in the back of the lot with me. Though I'd probably do what they did for all automotive ages up to the camera point and exactly what SEMI's do, slowly back out till you know it's clear. oncoming traffic in a parking lot will stop. it is a tool used for assistance, it's not a replacement. I never said either camera was better than the other. I can tell you that you will not pass a driving test looking at the camera in the car as you back up. I just put a rear camera in my 16 year old son's prelude but for his driving test, the camera can't be used. -

I think some of you need to focus back on driving basics and not relying on technology to get you out of every situation.
