95% of all options on the ST are available on the Titanium, the Sport was the same way. ST was supposed to be the evolution of the Edge platform, instead it just cloned it's past to target buyers into getting the same vehicle with a lil' sprinkle of new tech that hasn't even proved to be better or faster yet. 100% false marketing here, the Mustang GT can't even match most the cars in this video, so I would, as a consumer expect the Edge ST to be blowing the doors off a GT on a road track or 1/4 mile after watching this.

yes, the 7SPD DCT on my Audi is simple amazing! There is also the option to hold the gear also with no computer interaction.
-
I've never owned a Ford that held any value. My 48k 15 Edge Sport was like a whopping 28k a year and a half later, it's a good thing I don't buy cars based on resale value. Fords marketing of the ST is the true blame for the negative feedback to be honest. You can't market a SUV with supercars in pictures and videos and then have it just be a rebadged trim level.

indeed, but we are visual as people, so seeing the distance seems far, but looking at tenths of seconds is close.
-
I mean, it only ran .3 seconds slower than motor trend pulled and .4 slower than car and driver. I'd say that's pretty good pulling the 13.8 by random owner. That's a 13.8 without 1ft rollout it did take off like a rocket in the video, it was first off the line...
-
yes, I was simply referring to the capabilities of the 2.0 in general as it's same motor, diff tune and the DCT capabilities as it's way down on power compared to Focus RS and literally destroys it.

The VWAG 2.0T is a pretty stout motor.

USB ports: Capable of reading only some USB drives?
Nick Halstead replied to KRK's topic in 2016 Edge & MKX
never had an issue, specially with FAT32 since most large drives need to be that format. I have a 500GB drive hooked up now. Really odd though. -
I would consider the Q3 much smaller. 4in shorter in length isn't that much, the 4in in headroom is lower, but ironically, doesn't feel like less headroom while driving it.
-
Not exactly true. A base Audi Q5 starts at $42k. Runs the same exact 5.9 0-60 and recorded a .2 second faster 1/4 mile time than the STs faster reviewer. Dual Clutch Transmission for the win here. Now I personally hate the looks of all Audi SUVs except the SQ5 and the Q8, but if I could have the Q5 interior and my Edge exterior, I'd be sold completely.

I'd say the biggest difference was more so having almost 100 more hp/tq at the wheels than the ST and being able to light up the front wheels from a dig is a huge attention grabber. IMO, no performance vehicle should have a 4x4 wheel gap. They could have atleast gave us settings to select from the inside like, Sport/dynamic/cruise or something but then they'd be investing too much into the platform and cutting their own profit. I dunno, a lowered edge doesn't even look lowered imo. I'm not getting rid of my sport anytime soon, but I've accepted it's fate that nobody is going to mass produce parts for the platform. I want parts that show 1/4 mile results and in 4 years the only part to do that is a tune. smdh

I drove a ST, then let the GM take my Sport for a Test drive. GM walked away wanting a tuned and lowered sport over a ST. I think the main negative reviews are because most of those that reviewed the 15 Sport and gave it good reviews, were looking for a huge performance gain over the Sport, when really it was just about taking Sport off the back and adding ST.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

the recessed portion pops out, you can wrap it on the car or off, I did off the car which requires bumper removal -
Big time swirls in black paint ?
Nick Halstead replied to John Rom's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
Nobody on this page can tell you what compound to use without seeing the condition of the paint first. If you call around and a shop blind quotes you, I personally would be concerned with their work. When it comes to DAs, you get what you pay for. The Porter Cable will work for beginners, my father n law has one. I hate it, but I have 3 DAs and all of them were over $350. I wouldn't buy the B&D, the cult following of Autogeek enthusiasts rave about the Harbor Freight DA. As far as compounds, it all depends on your budget, I'd never use Ultimate Compound or Swirl X, but thats me and my preference cause I know they are going to take extra work at my skill level when I know better stuff is on the market. I promise you, your other cars have swirls on them if put up to a light source. I've made a good chunk of money from people who have said, "my paint looks good." Yeah in the shade on a cloudy day. But lets hit it with the swirl finder. -

you are not going to accomplish anything by hand, might even make it worse. It really goes back to how much you want to spend. Do you want to make an initial investment on yourself and do your own vehicles or would you rather pay someone almost the same amount to do it once and then maintain it yourself cause you don't have time. This F150 was pretty bad. Got it down to this. and left like this, $600. later same with this F150 to this and my own Tuxedo Black Edge Sport, I'd watch in HD and this is small sample of how much, I personally would spend if I didn't own anything. Granted, I've spent $3,200. on Detialed Image in the last year. https://www.detailedimage.com/Cart-Saved/725729843/ -
Fusion sport doesn't use electric AGS system, I dunno why they even have it labeled that on the install directions
-
To put fogs on the edge, you have to 1. Buy a European Crash bar or 2, weaken your own crash bar by cutting sections away
-
The intake is a Steeda Fusion Sport Intake. Actually decreases performance. They call it a intake but its just 2 filters in a horrible designed box. I dunno what velossa tech is gonna do about the AGS system. Id rather spend money on proven mods instead of $200. On a snorkel that should be about $60. In reality.
-
literally the same exact seats. I'm glad they don't have mag ride. Though I wish it had a real performance suspension altogether
-
yes that is the reason why, lots of manufacturers go this route on performance vehicles
