Howdy Friends, I am thinking about putting fog lights on my 2011 Edge SE. Currently I have the black plastic insert pieces there. Not sure what I need to consider when doing this. Can anyone point me in the right direction to some fog light DIY threads, or better yet - share their install knowleadge? Thanks!

I did the same crude cut out on my 2011 to fit a few things in there. Works great and gets my road hazard gear out of the way.

I'm going to use a silicone caulk... it works great stopping leaks on the roof of my home. Should be fine in the car.

Rails have been swapped... thanks Fishx65! Hope the deer are comfy up there on top of your Edge. I will post the steps and pics of my conversion from rails to no rails once the strips are installed.

Thanks Mike. I actually like it sitting up higher, not for looks but more for driving. However I would like take those roof racks off so it looks sleeker... those things look rediculous and I have no use for them.

Hey Friends, I purchased my 2011 Ford Edge a little over a week ago and quickly searched out some new wheels since I was riding on stock 17's and just didn't like the look at all. I found a nice new set of chrome plated Ford OEM 20's wrapped in new Goodyear Wranger HP 245/50/r20 with TPMS sensors included for a very fair price from Joe at Detroit Wheel & Tire. I called Joe first to get the scoop on the setup... he was very informative, answered all of my questions, guaranteed everything he said, and was very knowledgeable about wheels and tires in general. He said the rims came directly from Ford, he purchased the manufacturer overstock from a new appearance package option that will soon be available from Ford dealers. The wheels are stamped "FoMoCo" on the inside and look amazing... for me the right mix of sporty and classy. Got the new wheels yesterday and put them on. I'm very happy with the quality, they look great, roll smooth like butter, and are very quiet. And I'm equally pleased with the quality of service from Joe at Detroit Tire. The wheels appear to be everything Joe promised... brand new rims, stamped "FoMoCo" on the inside, chrome plated, with TPMS installed, wrapped in brand new Good Year Wrangler 245/50/r20 tires, and balanced perfectly. I have a 2011 Edge with roof rack rails and I would like to offer them up as an even trade for anyone with the plain roof trim strips... I have no use for mine and prefer the clean look without. Congrats on your new Edge Nick! I just bought my Edge less than a week ago... and like you I traded in a Dodge Magnum (2008 SE 3.5L V6) that my wife didn't like. I loved my Magnum, but I think I'll be loving the Edge just a little more. The folks on this forum seem to be very knowledgeable and have already helped me in my decision purchasing new wheels for my ride (pics to come soon). Best of luck!

I am happy that I will have Ford wheels on my Edge that will be just a little different than everyone else... I like that. Excited to get them! Joe from Detroit Tire made it a point to let me know that they were not chrome clad (plastic coating), but in fact they were chrome plated. He assured me they were very good quality, not refurbished, and brand spaking new directly from Ford (he also refered me to the Ford website). The other post you guys refered me to was right on... Joe seemed like a straight shooter, and was definitely very knowledgeable about rims and tires... a pleasure to talk to. They arrive Friday and I will be putting them on Saturday... stay tuned for pictures!

I actually called Joe from Detroit Tire before reading this and he was very willing to talk to me about the wheels and answered all of my questions 100%. I am confident these are the real deal. I made the purchase... I'll post pics when I get the new shoes on!
