  1. Lex: I do agree. I am also factoring in the body kit she wants for the Edge. Those rims would look good with a kitted Edge.
  2. The tire of choice will be the Pirelli Scorpions similar to what's on the 20" rims for the Limited.
  3. In a nutshell, my wife is interested in pimping our Edge. I have already started researching wheels and these are the candidates: Sporza DDT Sporza Elegante Asanti AF 120 B (Black Center) Asanti AF 128 (Black Center)
  4. We wish. They didn't copy the Edge's looks one whit. It looks nauseatingly ugly.
  5. I have driven the Escape/Mariner/Tribute trio and the differences versus the Edge are as follows: - Smaller in terms of cargo space and interior room - Lacks refinement, especially when it comes to engine noise (Even worse when it comes to the 4 cylinder versions) - Doesn't have the same performance in V6 trim As for Muranos, the differences are as follows: - Love it or hate it design. The new one is even more polarizing. - Headroom is less - The CVT will drive you batty. I drove a 2007 Maxima (Which shares the same frame and drivetrain as the Altima and Murano) with the CVT and was DEFINITELY not happy. The performance is not what it used to be.
  6. Can we see pics of the ballasts and bulbs? Do you carry the necessary relays for these vehicles?
  7. Since I know that Fords generally have soft clearcoat, I am going to invest in the clear bra.
  8. Thanks. The wife and I already do. :D
  9. I agree. Our Edge is a daily driver and we love the pep it has. As for the moron who likes to bump folks, consider this. In certain states, YOU would be nailed for aggressive driving and failure to control your vehicle to avoid an accident. If you cause injury or kill the other person, you will definitely be in deep crap.
  10. I have to take mine in for repair (minor). The right passenger door lock button is pushed in.
  11. tia: You are correct on the site. I do plan to do a "detail" this weekend using the Klasse I have now.
  12. My wife and I are the proud owners of a 2008 SE in Black with tan cloth interior. :D To make a long story short, my wife's Neon bit the dust and it died at the Ford Dealer where we wound up buying the Edge. We almost went with a Vapor Silver but went with the Black SE we have now. Looks like my weekends will be spent keeping that baby clean.
  13. What was your experience like buying from them? That is where we are getting our Edge from.
  14. My wife is looking at an Edge and we are going X Plan for ours. I am insistent that my car is built so that the only miles put on it are ours. Additionally, I am not allowing the dealer to detail our Edge because I don't want to have to pull a DMX if I see one single swirlmark they put on it. Additionnally, I won't even allow them to put their protectant on it because I have enough Klasse to polish and glaze a Kenworth W900 with a 53' trailer...seriously.
  15. Being a person who owned a 2002 Maxima SE that chipped if you looked at it the wrong way, I am wondering what other areas are prone to chipping?
  16. We both loved the Limited we had except she didn't like the color (Ice Blue). She wants a black one. I am thinking about White Sand with a charcoal interior.
  17. That's my exact method but will add a carnauba to top the whole thing off.
  18. Having driven both an Edge and a GM Lambda based CUV (Acadia/Enclave/Outlook), I definitely prefer the Edge. While the Acadia I drove was a pretty nice vehicle in its own right, the Edge actually trumps it hands down. The first thing is the performance of the Lambda based crossovers is not that strong. The acceleration was quite tepid (similar to a CUV with a CVT) and I need acceleration for traffic in AZ. The other thing I noticed with the Acadia is that it wasn't as quiet as the Edge. Finally, the major thing about the Acadia was the price. The SLT I drove cost almost as much as a Yukon. I am sure the Enclave hits for almost as much as a Denali.
  19. Hello, all. I happened across this forum in a search for a Ford Edge forum to discuss issues, etc with these vehicles. My wife is in the market for a 2008 SEL Plus w/Sync and the Vista Roof. We test drove a Limited and absolutely LOVED it. Being a person in IT, I loved the Sync and the Nav system. BTW, I am one that will ask questions which means I hope you don't mind me peppering you with them.
