  1. I am going to double check this as insurance for my HID install.
  2. When I was at the Ford dealer yesterday, I saw a rear view mirror that had the display for a backup camera built in. This is a factory Ford part but is supposed to be only for Expeditions, and F-Series pickups. Just wanted to give you guys some food for thought.
  3. This is what I am putting in the Edge http://www.eclipse-web.com/avn/avn6620overviews.html
  4. I just got a quote for the 20x 9 &Swiss SW-2 for $950 a rim.
  5. I got a close look at an Edge with Sync and the mirror. There are around 6 smaller wires. I need to see a wiring diagram to see where each of these wires leads and what they go to. I also got a quote on the mirror itself and they said $450. Worse yet, they said it may not be released until June/July (May scheduled date).
  6. The HID kit I am ordering has digital ballasts as well as two different harnesses (one with relays and one without).
  7. Which is the thick one and which is the thin one?
  8. I am about to make the plunge into HIDs as well. I am going to purchase a set of 6000k HIDs for the Edge (H11 and 9005). The only thing I need to find out is where to put the ballasts.
  9. ks: We will definitely be sharing notes. I have already started figuring out the wiring for that mirror in comparison to the mirror that is already in our SE. The difference I have seen (felt) is the third wire which is thicker than the others. That third wire is the wire for the BT mic. Comparing it with the Parrot that comes with the Eclispe, the wire feels like the same thickness. Additionally, there is a fourth wire. However, I wonder where that wire actually goes once it gets into the headliner. This is where a wiring diagram would come in VERY handy. I am looking at installing an Eclipse AVN-6620 in our Edge and it has the Parrot Bluetooth with it. I want to take the Parrot Bluetooth and splice it with the Sync Mirror.
  10. Another candidate & Swiss SW-2
  11. The Sporza Elegantes cost as much, if not more.
  12. I told the wife about them and her exact words were, "Are you out of your #@$%@!#$ mind?!?!?" Does anyone know of a similar rim but won't cost an arm, leg, and other appendages?
  13. a) What's the part number for the Rear View Mirror with BT Mic for Microsoft Sync? How much does it cost? Can someone give me a wiring diagram for a 2008 Edge?
  14. Why do I feel like I am going into uncharted territory?
  15. Possible alternative: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=17302 Hopefully, you can kill the phone number showing in the mirror.
  16. Lex, tell me about it. Telling the wife how much those are will result in a or .
  17. I am contemplating the installation of a BT system in the Edge but I want the mirror for the Sync system that has the microphone built in. I am wondering if this could be done so that I will have a very neat install versus an external control.
  18. I am going with the Asanti AF128s on the same Pirelli Scorpions that are on the Limiteds or Edges with the 20" wheel package. They may be a bit wider because I want a decent lip.
  19. When I tested an '08 Edge Limited with Sync, all 3 (Mine, wife's, My Work) of my phones connected with no problem. However, one thing is whether or not the phone is BT 2.0 or the current BT standard of 2.1, your phone should not have problems.
  20. This royally sucks. Now that I am reading about this, I am going to inspect my SE to make sure I don't see this. If I do, there will be a vehicle change.
  21. With X-Plan, our SE came out to ~$24,000.
