Actually, I just found that was a TSB. I am going to get that cured this weekend.
  2. Now, I have to decide on the wiring for the audio system.
  3. Very nice, Lex. Keep us posted on how you like the Infinitys.
  4. I did some reading on the AVIC-Z2 as well as the Eclipse AVN-5495 and the AVN-6620. While the features may be more on the Pioneer, one thing I am highly concerned with is the hard drive. As you may well know, AZ gets hotter than hell itself during the summer months. Couple the fact that the inside of the car can get around 130 degrees or better and the hard drive may or may not handle the temps (In short, very iffy). I looked at the 5495 which is the direct competitor to the Z2 and it doesn't have as many features. Therefore, I think I'll stay with the 6620.
  5. At 2600 miles, I have discovered the following: - Rollback on incline (TSB) - Weatherstripping out of place - Alignment needs to be checked
  6. Check the TSBs. There is a TSB for power steering fluid leakage.
  7. I went onto NHTSA's website and found the following TSBs for the 2008 Edge Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 20003 Date of Bulletin: OCT 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10023436 Component: POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY Summary: 6F50 TRANSAXLE EQUIPPED VEHICLES WHEN STOPPED ON A HILL IN DRIVE OR REVERSE WITHOUT SERVICE BRAKE APPLIED MAY ROLL (WON'T HOLD). *NJ Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 07311 Date of Bulletin: OCT 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10021280 Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Summary: 6F50 TRANSAXLES BUILT PRIOR TO 1/1/07 - DTC P0715, P0717, P0718, P0720, AND/OR HARSH ENGAGEMENT, NO UPSHIFT, FIFTH GEAR ONLY. *KB UPDATED 2/6/08. *NJ Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 0713 Date of Bulletin: DEC 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10021218 Component: STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS Summary: POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKS FROM STEERING RACK AND PUMP ATTACHMENT JOINTS. *KB UPDATED 2/27/08. *NJ
  8. Ever since I changed the orientation of the convex mirrors, I have no problems.

Does it solve the rollback problem when the Edge is on an incline?

Do you feel any difference from stock?

I notice it is generally quiet here.
  12. Did you ever get your Edge yet, Edgy?

Other than the HID Debate, nothing much.
  14. Two more candidates... MHT Vendetta Driv Entourage (May be dropped due to weight of 45 lbs/rim)
  15. I'd rather go with an alarm/remote start system. However, I am aiming for a more potent system.
  16. Ask and ye shall receive.... Forgive the quality but it was a camera phone.
  17. Another thing with rims is the type of look you are trying to achieve. For instance, I want a classy, but sporty look for the Edge which led me to rims such as the Asanti AF128.
  18. I see where you are going with this. Maybe you could check out this site and get the LEDs you want and place them in the vehicle. http://www.oznium.com/
  19. I spoke with another dealer and he managed to save me a little coin on the Asantis. In fact, he has an AF128 in the store that had a black lip and gunmetal spokes from a Charger. I haven't asked about the Feslers yet.
  20. I changed them to the lower inner corners and, since they were wedge shaped, I had the small part of the wedge pointing outward. That worked a lot better than having them outside. However, I have to replace one since it fell off somewhere.
