The decision has been made thanks to Craiger's photoshopping. I am going with the Asantis. Problem is whether or not someone can send me smelling salts just in case the wife passes out.
New mod: Foglights w/PIAA Crystal Ion
I have sourced and priced the parts through http://www.teamfordparts.com/partlocator/i...m?siteid=214270 and it will run $229.22 for the parts. Now, who can tell me if I am pre-wired or not?
Just found this courtesy of bbf2350:

Foglight Bulb back - $19.33 (2)
Headlamp Switch w/Foglights - $24.04
Hole Cover with Foglights - $36.10 (2)

Hmmmmm.......possible mod plan....:D
Case in point, the ones I have on the Edge are 35w and 6000k for both low and high beam. As long as you are in the 4000k - 6000k range, you should be fine. If you start going to 8000k, it gets more blue.
Bigger question is whether or not you want to pony up the dough. I have already checked on them and they wanted more than $200 for the set. For me, I would have to shell out extra dough for the switch and maybe the wiring.
I took it to the tint shop Saturday and got the windshield tinted. I do notice a drastic improvement in cooling the car off without compromising visibility. It's light enough that it won't draw any attention.
One thing about the film is that it's thicker than your ordinary film and it will take a longer time to set. The estimated time was 2 weeks. However, I drove it yesterday and today without seeing any bubbles.
Now, I have to concentrate on tinting the rear windows and making the windows surrounding the hatch darker.
I took it in to the dealership to fix the rollback problem. It didn't require the torque converter. It required flashing the PCM to the latest program.
Sony:
I did have to get another HID kit which had 2 ballasts. In fact, you can see my install here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?aut...m&album=114
But you are correct in that I can see a greater distance. I have 2 35w kits on mine.
Given that I am in AZ and it gets hotter than hell itself, I need to find a way to keep things cool. The 75% tint I am looking at has a very high UV and heat rejection plus, you can't really tell there is a tint on the windshield because it's so light.
