  1. Have you done a writeup on this yet? Inquiring minds want to know before they shell out $176 for some PIAAs.
  2. How'd you black out the grille? I have been considering that for a while.
  3. I have been using Klasse since 2001 and have no problems with it. Like Zaino, it's a polymer sealant that can be layered. As for carnauba waxes, these are in my "stable" currently: - Pinnacle Souveran - Pinnacle Liquid Souveran - P21S - S100 S100 can be purchased from your local Harley store for ~15 and it's an instant on-instant off wax. Another thing I love about Klasse is that I use their "polish" (All In One) as a base for another sealant in my arsenal which is Autoglym Super High Gloss Paint Protection. I used AIO+the Autoglym on a black 2002 Maxima SE and topped that with Pinnacle Souveran and it was like looking into a mirror (or for Star Wars fans, shinier than Darth Vader's helmet).
  4. Mine has had this done and the car will not roll back on some inclines but still rolls back on others. I am at the dealer addressing this issue.
  5. New Alternative... I am looking at KMC Dimes pretty closely and, while they don't have the flat spokes as the Asanti or MHT Vendetta, they will work because the look is pretty darned close. Tire remains Nitto NT420S Exact rim:
  6. However, when the Edge was new, the RPM fluctuations were non-existent.
  7. Does anyone's Edge dip and rise in RPM while idling and with the A/C on? Lately, ours is doing that and it cut off on us twice yesterday.
  8. a) Have they lost their minds about getting rid of Vapor Silver? That's one of the best looking colors. I want this, though: Illuminated Front Door Scuff Plate (18D) available on all series. c) I want this, too....Cargo Accessory Package – Includes: Privacy Shade(color coordinated), Cargo Floor Protector and Rear Bumper Protector
  9. Took a random orbital buffer to mine within the first month.
  10. 1) FWD 2) no roof 3) Stock 17" rims (for now) 4) Combo 5) A/C 6) Hot as hell AZ 7) Mostly flat I may not have numbers since my Edge does not have a computer. But I can say the following: a) My average fill up is $50 - $65 if I do it under 1/2 tank. $30-$40 at 1/2 tank I just filled it up last night and drove to Coolidge, AZ. Thus far, the hand has not left F which is a VERY good thing. However, the norm is that she'll be 1/2 full by Tuesday or Wednesday if filled up on Sat. c) Weekly, I have spent anywhere from $150 - $200 on gas
  11. Saw two of them and sat in a Limited. Don't think the wife and I are abandoning the Edge for one.
  12. I am in the Valley as well. Mine seems to work well once I get the hot air pumped out. But it's wierd that the glove compartment being open plays a factor in better airflow.
  13. The theory regarding the in-cabin air filter seems quite plausible and I will examine that when I take it in Saturday.
  14. Even though it's a wild guess, it sounds plausible. Another angle is that something inherent in the design is restricting the intake.
  15. MKX, you and my wife discovered this on our respective vehicles. Thank you for confirming that it's not just me.
  16. bbf: I have read the manual from cover to cover. However, what's interesting about this is that everyone who is reporting this has a common thread of how hot it is. For instance, our Edge has seen temps around 120 degrees and it does take a very long time to cool down. I have driven an E350 van which is significantly bigger and it didn't even take as long as the Edge to cool down, even with 15 people in it.
  17. cb: I wasn't posting to be confrontational or disagreeable as I am in the same boat as those who have the issue. However, I find it VERY wierd that whenever the wife or I open the glove compartment, the air conditioning seems to blow better. It is as if the glove compartment is acting like an intake which allows more air to get pulled in. None of the other cars I have owned in the past have done this. I have brought it to the dealer's attention and they are perplexed as well. I am bringing it in this Saturday to have this and a few other things looked at. Have you had a chance to test the glove box theory yet?
  18. I have never run 87 in any vehicle I have owned. No intention on starting, either.
  19. I understand the issue just fine. Having owned a 2002 Maxima, also with manual A/C controls, I can attest to that. But that car, even on a 100+ degree day and having a sunroof, cooled off rapidly. Without stating the obvious about vehicle size, there is a legitimate issue where the A/C is not blowing strong enough. I'd like to see who's got the issue where opening the glove compartment seems to cause the A/C to work better. With that in mind, I am wondering how the A/C is "plumbed" where the glove compartment seems to restrict airflow. Guaranteed, I am not the only one.
  20. Been running 89 since I had it. Usually, I go to Chevron, Shell or Mobil.
  21. Our Edge doesn't have the BAMR, nor the electronic controls for the A/C. However, we do set it to Max A/C which directs the cold air to the vents. However, I do notice that when the glove compartment is opened, the A/C seems to blow better. I am taking mine in to check that out.
