  1. I had a similar problem. The dealer replaced the throttle body.
  2. Another Gilbert Resident but works in Tempe (or almost any airport in the country).
  3. Considering that my Edge is an SE that did not have foglights, would I have to splice anything or not?
  4. I am revisiting the installation of stock foglights on the Edge. I know that some have installed HID fogs and I am considering the same. However, I am seriously considering 6000k yellow fogs. For those who have installed HID fogs, what did you use as mounting points for the ballasts?
  5. You're correct. The plastic of the glove compartment was cool to the touch.
  6. In a nutshell, this, like many wood kits overlays the stock stuff and is only held with either adhesive or tape.
  7. I am contemplating this angle: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs_pa...php?page_id=245 ( As soon as a 10" version is released)
  8. I tried pricing this and they said putting vinyl on the grille would cost as much as it would to paint it.
  9. Personally, I would just replace the amp, etc. One of the issues is that while the Audiophile system may be a 5 channel amp, it does kind of route a significant amount of power to the sub so that it meets that requirement. Problem is whether or not it will handle the impedance of the speakers you may want to purchase. Many factory amps are not known for matching the lower impedances of many aftermarket speakers. If it can't handle a lower impedance, you may wind up having thermal issues with the stock amp. I also thought about getting a 5 channel amp but many of them are physically too big which would wind up compromising my stealth install and utility. Therefore, I am thinking about a 300w 4 ch amp and a 250w 1 ch amp for the sub. I may also consider a capacitor because of the HIDs (want to keep them at steady voltage).
  10. I am researching this myself. I am most interested in the shallow subs so I can retain the stock appearance.
  11. Now, you have me thinking about testing some stuff in the glove compartment to see if it gets cool.
  12. Have you ever clayed your windshield or other glass?
  13. I'm down by the 202 and Val Vista.
  14. Found the Ebay Harness: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Acces...d=p4506.c0.m245
  15. Like Lex said, I can always find something different to turn to (as can the wife) but I also am prone to listen to the local talk radio station, jazz station, or whatever suits my fancy at the moment. Today will be a Foxxhole day in the Edge. :D
  16. Every time the wife sees a Vapor Silver Edge, she playfully hits me because she likes the color.
  17. I recently had the same problem on my '08 SE and they could not reproduce the problem at first. However, after waiting for the wife and it cut off on me 4 times, I practically flew to the dealership and it cut off on the tech that was examining it. Approximately an hour later, it was found that the throttle body was the culprit and they had a TSB for it. Since then, I have not only noticed it not cutting off, I also noticed that the gas mileage and performance are actually better.
  18. What are the part numbers? Does this include the wiring?
  19. After two visits to the dealership, it was found to be a bad throttle body. They said there was a TSB for it. Does anyone have the info on it?
  20. Colors: http://www.edashkit.com/Shared/Form/colors.htm
  21. I have 35w 6000k High and Low beam (If you live in AZ, you will understand why). The install for my HIDs was actually pretty nice because stock locations were used. The one thing I entertained changing is upping the ballast to 55w for the high beams but I am already getting blinked at from long distances with the 35w on rural roads.
