  1. I just looked at the 2011 Edge Sport and found something curious. I know that HIDs are offered as an option but they (like many other desirable options) are part of a package that contains items my wife and I may not want. My question is how can I get the items individually and not get things like the BAMR?
  2. Update: So far, the Fuel Maxes aren't bad at all. The treadwear (580) is much better than the Hankooks but these tires will protest if pushed hard.
  3. Pusateri, it really depends on the HID kit you bought. The key thing to check out is whether or not it has a digital ballast. If it has it, you (may) not need a relay. Case in point, I have been running HIDs on our '08 since February of '08 and have had absolutely no problems, even without the relay.
  4. Long story short, I have installed the Green Stuff pads on our '08 Edge. Since I installed them, I have noticed more dust, noise, and less performance than the stockers. In fact, I am not seeing any improvement whatsoever in braking. I am wondering if I should have gone with the Red Stuff ceramic or the Akebonos.
  5. I changed my tires and brake pads around 45-46k. I replaced the stockers with EBC Greenstuff pads and the tires with Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max (H Rated).
  6. I went to Discount Tire and picked up a set of the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max (235 65 HR 17). So far, they aren't too bad but I haven't really put them through their paces (yet)...lol
  7. Honestly, I would greatly consider not tricking out the Edge we have now and just buy either a 2011 Edge Sport or MKX. I like them both but I am curious whether or not the Edge will come with HIDs as does the Flex. If so, would the hi-beam also be HID?

Nice!! Just what I am going to do to the wife-mobile.
  9. I agree 150% This is the first Ford my wife and I have owned and it's still running well after 45k on the clock. The only problem I had with it is the throttle body needed replacing. Since then, it's been a hell of a lot more reliable than the Maximas I owned and it didn't come with a telephone book of TSBs like my '02 Maxima SE did.
  10. I wonder what it would cost to paint that Precision mesh grille black. I like how it looks. The painted Ford grille is also being looked at.
  11. If I had known about Todd before I bought my HIDs, I would have bought them from him because of his helpfulness. However, the HIDs I did get were from a company who's got the same level of customer service. For those who have read the drivel from BlazedUp, there are more of us who have HIDs that work than those that don't. I am one of those who's got not only low beam HIDs but high beam as well (Dark AZ roads) and have had no ill effect.
  12. Are you running the regular halogens or HIDs?
  13. Can you tell me what the light output of that is?
  14. If anyone's got the Red Stuff Ceramic pads, how have they held up with daily use?
  15. Correct. The bulb for the fogs is the same as your low beams (H11). I have been entertaining a set of yellow HIDs (4000 K to 6000 K) for the fogs because of the light output at that range.
  16. I will be trying this soon. I just replaced the front wipers with Rain-X Latitudes and they work quite well.
  17. I just did some research and will go with either the Green Stuff or Red Stuff Ceramic. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?...e+Pad+Set%20EBC
  18. Looked there first and didn't find anything I liked.
  19. Didn't consider Rays because I know they will be as much, if not more than the Asantis. I am going to roll with the KMC Dimes but the tire may change yet again. I am looking at the Yokohama Advan S/T. Anyone got any feedback on them?
  20. I recall going through the same thing twice last year. Turns out that both of my ballasts (Low Beam) were bad and had to be replaced. My High Beams worked normally.
  21. Lex: I kind of discovered that the covers were removable when I was initially researching the project. However, I want to keep an eye on this to see how to do it in case Ford doesn't release their foglight kit. TN: Do you plan to install HID Fogs?
