  1. Actually, I got my kit from http://www.3bspec.com and moved it from my 2008 Edge to this one DDM and Restosolutions have similar setups.

    Question

How many of us on this site are 2x Edge owners? I can actually count myself among that category. Previous Edge: http://www.autofind.com/dealer/details/160430.passenger/2FMDK36C88BA38242/ Current Edge: 2011 Limited
  3. Cellbine: Thanks for the clarity. I'll try the type twos since it's the same color as my HIDs. When I get them, I will let you all know how they fare.
  4. The kit that I have includes the following: Canbus Ballast Warning Canceller (Capacitor) DRL Module No flickering at all when lit at full power.
  5. I have one of those Edges. Strangely enough, Calfornia (Mine was a rental unit in California) vehicles must have DRLs and it's hard coded into the system (Dealer tried to disable but couldn't). I had to get another piece to work with the DRLs which will power them up for DRL duty.
  6. Cellbine: Thanks for the heads up. I want the ones like you have but 5000K to match my HIDs.
  7. Do they have a 5000K version of those switchbacks? N/M - Found 'em http://www.v-leds.com/5K-TYPE-2-DUAL-COLOR-p7114832-1-2.html
  8. .....or far away from the throngs of people and shopping carts. Gotta protect my White Platinum.
  9. Honestly, I am content with the 18" wheels and the total look of my Limited. However, I also liked our 2008 SE as well. My wife likes the fact both vehicles are quite stylish (even though she is getting a kick out of the ambient lighting).
  10. Now, that I am the proud owner of a 2011 Limited with the Sony Sound System, I do feel it's time to change the speakers and amplification since things aren't as clean as I would like. Given that I am not a person who installs Audio, I will be turning my Edge over to Audio Expression in Mesa, AZ for the install. Components: 3.5" speakers: So far the choices are the following: JL Audio: http://www.jlaudio.com/c2-350x-car-audio-c2-coaxial-systems-99611 Boston Acoustics: http://www.bostonacoustics.com/SE35-P760.aspx Morel Tempo: http://www.morelhifi.com/car-audio/tempo (May involve some modification due to speaker's 4" size) 6.5" Components (Front Door and stock tweeter location): Morel Tempo: http://www.morelhifi.com/car-audio/tempo/tempo-2-way-2 JL Audio: http://www.jlaudio.com/c2-650-car-audio-c2-speaker-systems-99617 Boston Acoustics: http://www.bostonacoustics.com/SR60-P604.aspx 6.5" Coax (Rear Door) Morel Tempo 6: http://www.morelhifi.com/car-audio/tempo/tempo-coax-2 JL Audio: http://www.jlaudio.com/c2-650x-car-audio-c2-coaxial-systems-99618 Boston Acoustics: http://www.bostonacoustics.com/SE65-P756.aspx Subwoofer: Kicker Comp VT: http://www.kicker.com/CompVT Morel Ultimo 802: http://www.morelhifi.com/car-audio/ultimo Boston Acoustics: http://www.bostonacoustics.com/G108-P570.aspx Rockford Fosgate: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.aspx?itemid=129171 Main Amp: Tru Technology: http://www.trutechnology.com/images/products/b4100s_full.jpg Subwoofer Amp: JL Audio or Tru Any thoughts?
  11. CPratt: Nice! Can't wait until it's my turn.
  12. 2008 Ford Edge SE (FWD) Repairs done: Throttle Body Replacement (Under Warranty) and Electric Cooling Fan Replacement ($600) Bought new and kept to 105k More reliable than either of the Nissan Maximas I owned previously.
  13. My first gen Edge had 105k on the clock. I was very strict when it came to maintenance on it and plan to be the same way on my 2011.
  14. No V6, not interested. The only Ecoboost motor I am interested in is the SHO's 3.5L V6 and Ford hasn't made it known whether or not they are going to do that. If they do, I am all over it.
  15. The more I read from Dingo, kc, and cellbine, the more my project list grows. - 5000K 35w HIDs - Tint windshield and remaining rear windows - Front end protection - LED backup bulbs - LED bulbs for vanity mirrors - LED puddle lamps - LED cargo light - LED dome light - Speaker upgrade (debating between Boston, Morel, Dynaudio, and JL Audio for speakers) - Amp upgrade (Tru Audio)
  16. I just got mine done Friday. Did you guys get a ceramic tint?
  17. I have used Lexol's leather cleaner and conditioner and find it to be good for leather interiors. In fact, now that I have a leather interior, I need to get some ASAP.
  18. I have used Tuff Stuff to clean the steering wheel, console, and dash. However, I followed that up with a protectant. As for the seat stains, Tuff Stuff can work on those as well.
  19. I will stick to my 80% ceramic tint for the front windshield. I will also start planning out an audio upgrade.
  20. I thought that was illegal. Is that from state to state?
