  1. I went with a 1200 W PS in order to give myself some headroom if I decide to go SLI in the future. With things like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and a few other things, I need the firepower. I did have a UPS on my desktop before but may go that route again. Possibly APC.
  2. I will agree. Updating them is a real pain in the . That's why I went Asus this time around.

  4. For now, it's the Actiontec DSL Modem/Wireless Router provided by the Telco and a Linksys Wireless Router.
  5. I will post the planned upgrades this evening....
  6. I just went through this with mine and had to have the latch replaced.
  7. Interesting. My dealership only replaced the booster and the problem went away. What is your dealership saying about the master cylinder?
  8. I actually added 35% tint on the back windows and rear doors. Much better in terms of heat rejection since I also have an 80% on the windshield.
  9. Interesting that the Pirelli Scorpion Verde is not sold at Discount or Tire Rack in a 245/50/20 size.
  10. Heck, I know a shop in Chicago I'd use in a heartbeat for body work. They repaired my 2002 Maxima after a hit and run driver nearly ripped the rear quarter panel off. After repairs, people were hard pressed to tell the difference.
  11. Phil, I previously owned a car with slightly more mods than an Edge (Maxima) and I am learning that you sometimes have to be a trailblazer with these vehicles. Case in point, I am exploring upgrading the headlights to a different projector/lens combination along with adding an LED bar right below my front license plate holder. Alternative is checking out a different HID kit for the stock projectors. Why? Let's just say one drive from Sedona, AZ to Phoenix on I-17 will be enough reason (read: Beyond pitch black). BTW: My wife told me she will NEVER argue with me on lighting mods for the Edge ever again which means GREEN LIGHT!!! I am planning to take her to SDHQ in Gilbert, AZ to show her the LED bar I want. She will need her polarized shades for this....seriously. The LED bar of choice is 8874 Lumens. http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/11XmitterPrimeXtremeLEDLightBarEighteen5-WattLEDs40WideBeam.aspx Wife is also aware I want to upgrade the sound system, wheels, etc. as well.
  12. wannabang, take it from a person who's owned two Edge generations. The brakes between the two are different in terms of performance. However, if you REALLY want an upgrade, you would have to get Steeda's kit and that is over $3k. Dingo's suggestion is a LOT cheaper.
  13. Here's what I am learning: Through Benny, the assemblies for an HID Edge will run almost $480 a piece. After that, you have to find a D3S HID kit with the igniter on the bulb. If I am going that route, I am not going to settle for less than a Morimoto or Phillips. Whiteis charges $300 for a projector swap for both headlights. He uses TRS projectors and Morimoto kits. Needless to say, I am still doing my research before pulling the trigger one way or the other.
  14. A) I actually tried that and the dealer refused. I did not want the moonroof but wanted the HIDs. Can you find an aftermarket D3S kit? If you can, let us know. I have checked TRS and they do not offer them. C) As an owner of TWO (2008 & 2011) Edges that have had the Halogen HID conversion, I never got blinked either time on low beam. High Beam? I have gotten blinked at 1/4 mile away with the 2008 and the kits were 6K 35w.
  15. It took mine a few days because they had to order it.
  16. I echo everyone else's sentiments in that you should get that checked out ASAP. Guaranteed, it's your booster.
  17. Josueh: Both of my kits were 35w 6000K kits and were plug and play.
  18. What wattage are the kits? If they are 55w, I am thinking you need a relay harness for both kits instead of one. Do you have DRLs? If so, you can either take it to the dealer to shut them off or add the DRL and warning canceller modules to your high beams (e.g. Canada and California)
  19. I will wait and see how things go with Cellbine before ordering mine.
  20. Been on a different vendor than either since I have been here. My first gen's HIDs were 6k/35w. Ultimately, I had to get the Canbus ballasts for my high beams (stock ballasts kept going south) and then moved those over to my 2011 since it came with DRLs. Now, I am running 5k/35w but, after driving in some of the darker parts of AZ, I am looking at changing things up again. Next up: D2S FX-R projector and Morimoto 5000k/35w.
  21. I will admit I am as bad, if not worse than Rockballer. When an unlicensed driver hit my 2008 Edge, let's just say that the shop personnel and I became very fast friends.
