  1. This will be reflective of when I get mine and install them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWBhP0EQ1lA
  2. Welcome to the forum. I owned a 2008 prior to my 2011 and could tell you what I learned from that. Audio- Installing Infinity's all around. Keep the stock unit as the wife likes the built in 6 disc. But, I need to hide a 10" sub somewhere. The easiest thing to do is get the JL Audio Stealthbox that can be hidden in the sides of the hatch area, a decent amp, and OEM integration since you want to keep the stock head unit. Exterior- Going to be blacking it out. Anyone have some good ideas on nice grilles that can be powder coated? Plasti-Dip is the going trend around these parts. Best person to talk about that would be Cellbine. Rims- Those stock salad spinners have to go. Will have to check out some members pictures for some ideas. Definitely a wise idea. Just make sure it is something you both agree on. Case in point, my wife likes the wheels I want to put on our 2011 which would be these: http://www.mrrwheels.com/gt1.html Brakes- Probably my biggest issue. They suck. So if anyone here has upgraded, please let me know. The only BBK for the Edge that I know of is by Steeda and it's not cheap. Engine/Tranny- This trans feels similar to an old slushbox. The TC seems finicky and while the shifts are smooth, they can also feel slow under load. Different oil perhaps? And is there any sort of tuning for the engine? Will be doing the exhaust shortly, so wouldnt mind tweaking the engine for a little more power. Unless of course bad things happen. Steeda also makes a program to up the HP that can be applied by a SCT Tuner. You may also want to ensure that the trans has the latest updates. Suspension- Not sure here. Wouldnt mind a little more reactive ride. Again, any tips? Many people get H&R Springs to lower the Edge. However, I am more interested in the rear sway bar and Strut Tower brace.
  3. Fave clay bar: Clay Magic Blue Close second: Sonus
  4. You won't be disappointed with the Dodo Juice products. I have used Pinnacle, Autoglym, and Klasse over the years. None have failed me.
  5. My guess is that the stalk switch may be defective and is not holding the proper position. This is not exactly a DIY project due to wiring configurations, etc. I'd recommend going to the dealership for that one.

  7. I have the puddle lamps and license plate LEDs. Great service and zero problems even with my demands (5K color).
  8. Shortly after I posed that, I did find out they have a 2 second warmup time. I also spoke with the off-road shop and their option is auxiliary backup lights. Not sure I am feeling that one.
  9. Shantz, what grit sandpaper did you use to smooth the textured plastic down?
  10. WWW: Both of my Edges were FWD. No PTU issues.
  11. I am averaging 18.9 with the 2011. The 2008 was around 20-21 mpg.
  12. I am definitely going with the JL Audio 10TW3-D4 for the sub versus the regular stealthbox. They are also coming out with a Stealthbox with the 10TW3-D4 in it.
  13. I did look at the dxhid set and found Dingo was correct. I am also going to look at another avenue for this as well.
  14. Interesting they'd discontinue them. My Type1s still work flawlessly. My reverse LEDs....slightly different story.
  15. The other issue is the new quad-layer BD disks. I like the concept but none of those have Lightscribe.
  16. candurin: My wallet is already feeling abused at the moment......lol
  17. I am also going to pay a visit to my favorite off-road shop for an idea as well.
  18. In my case, I would be more interested in just opening in the front since I have a roof rack. My guess as to cost of install would probably be $1500 or higher.
  19. ....and looking into a reverse HID kit with a "twist". The only concerns I have are durability and ballast placement. Could you point me in the right direction, Dingo?
