  1. Time to go aftermarket and build what you want. In your first gen MKX, it is a LOT easier.
  2. Update: One thing I am really neglecting to do in all this is look at their install quality and thoroughly test their installations. Will take a look when I get a chance.
  3. The key to that is the sidewall. If the sidewall is too narrow, the ride is going to be rougher.
  4. In this same forum, I posted about getting a set of 20" lace type wheels for mine. However, the more I am thinking about it, the more I am reconsidering that. The 18s are pretty decent for me and the cost of replacing the tires is actually better.
  5. Jim, I am running an 8GB Patriot drive using FAT32. So far, I have done 3.5.1 and 3.6.2 with no issues on either. Plus, this drive is dedicated only to Sync/MFT updates. I also have a 120 GB HD formatted with exFAT that works without problem.
  6. KingMike: Not necessarily the case. For example, mine is out of the car for at least 8 hrs a day or better and it has no problem syncing the phonebook. I even have my MFT set to autodownload the phonebook. Voice commands to my contacts work fine. slideways: Do you know what version of Android you are on? You can find that out by going to System:Settings:About Phone. Mine is running 4.2.2 . Also, did you do the latest MFT/Sync Update?
  7. I would venture to say around 1/4-1/2 inch. All I heard was the telltale "pop" and saw the crack later in the day.
  8. I apply bug and tar remover on the surface, let it soak to loosen and then clean it with soap and water.
  9. The original installer for this setup has left the shop and went to Chicago. The shop's lead installer wants to look at the car to determine how to do this without hacking up anything visible. He will be the one working on this install.
  10. This is one I thought of http://www.autogeek.net/aztec-hot-water-extractor.html
  11. When I got in the car this morning, the time held and I had no problems. I paired the wife's phone last night. Looks like it's forcing me to change pronounciations again. I had to revert back to the old way of saying a friend's name.
  12. I did the update but saw that it did not hold my time as I set it. I did not do a master reset after the update but I will try that this evening.
  13. Another thing I am researching to add to my arsenal is an extractor for cleaning the interior carpets.
  14. Mine come over on the calls with no problem. I have a Galaxy S4.
  15. I will try it out to see if it resolves my BT issues with the S4.
  16. What would be fun with this is to be able to change the color like the interior lighting. Oh, Dan......
  17. Looks like a very simple swap of the housing. However, are you planning to go HID?
  18. Spoke with the shop and I thought about the C5s up front and the C3s in the rear. Stay tuned.....
