Update:
One thing I am really neglecting to do in all this is look at their install quality and thoroughly test their installations. Will take a look when I get a chance.
In this same forum, I posted about getting a set of 20" lace type wheels for mine. However, the more I am thinking about it, the more I am reconsidering that. The 18s are pretty decent for me and the cost of replacing the tires is actually better.
Jim,
I am running an 8GB Patriot drive using FAT32. So far, I have done 3.5.1 and 3.6.2 with no issues on either. Plus, this drive is dedicated only to Sync/MFT updates. I also have a 120 GB HD formatted with exFAT that works without problem.
KingMike: Not necessarily the case. For example, mine is out of the car for at least 8 hrs a day or better and it has no problem syncing the phonebook. I even have my MFT set to autodownload the phonebook. Voice commands to my contacts work fine.
slideways: Do you know what version of Android you are on? You can find that out by going to System:Settings:About Phone. Mine is running 4.2.2 . Also, did you do the latest MFT/Sync Update?
The original installer for this setup has left the shop and went to Chicago. The shop's lead installer wants to look at the car to determine how to do this without hacking up anything visible. He will be the one working on this install.
When I got in the car this morning, the time held and I had no problems. I paired the wife's phone last night. Looks like it's forcing me to change pronounciations again. I had to revert back to the old way of saying a friend's name.
