  1. I did see some switchbacks at AutoZone for $19 but I am not 100% sure of the light output being better than the type 1s I had.
  2. Tell me about it. The options at VLEDs (other than Tritons) are not much better than Halogens in terms of light output.
  3. Now that wifey is slowly getting back to normal, I have to revisit lighting projects on the Edge. Things changed recently because my switchbacks got screwed up because the lead wires broke off and fell to the ground. I am running halogen bulbs currently.
  4. Rundown of everything done to the Edge for the past month: a) Had 90k maintenance performed. Also had sparkplugs changed and door latch replaced (again). Drove to Indian Wells, CA for the tennis tournament with wifey. Avg mpg: 22-24. Literally took one tank of gas to drive there. c) Had to remove my type 1 switchbacks because the metal clips broke off and fell to the ground when I pulled them out. Upcoming: a) Revising lighting mod plans to include new Type 1 switchbacks. I don't really want to go with the Tritons.
  5. Honestly, I am on the hunt for polyurethane bushings.
  6. Same here. I have quite a bit of it left and have not had a chance to use it all up.
  7. I don't think you should. But I am curious whether or not the CD player is where the receiver would be. If that's the case, you may just need the CD player.
  8. For grins, I actually did the following to the center console of my 2011 Edge: a) Applied Klasse All-In-One Polish by hand Applied Klasse Sealant Glaze by hand c) Topped with Pinnacle XMT by hand That console is still shiny to this date. The only thing I have to worry about is my Sync applique that keeps popping off. May look into an epoxy to fix it.
  9. When you activate the high beams, do you hear any unusual noises? In the 2011-2014 Edge, the shutter does make a sound normally but if you hear anything other than that, it's definitely your shutter going bad.
  10. akirby: Nope. Steeda stopped selling it a few years ago. I tried to get one.
  11. The tradeoff would be longevity. Some tires that are W Rated, as the Paradas are, have a fairly low treadlife partially due to the softer compound for high speed driving.
  12. We drove to Indian Wells, CA recently and rang up around 22 mpg.
  13. No additives Valvoline Semi-Synthetic Oil Everything else: Whatever the dealer puts in
  14. Definitely good to hear. I will have to get mine before the next trip to Chicago.
  15. The 427 would be an LSX 427 crate motor. I wanted to turn up the wick to 1500 hp but I would be content with 800-1000.
  16. My 2011: 101,000 miles as of today. My 2008 had 105,000 before I traded it.
  17. a) Even to this day, I still want one of those with a few "tweaks" including a TT427 backed with a 6L90E. That car was based off the 9C1 Caprice which was the police package. I liked the 9C1s even from a looks standpoint. Cops I knew loved them so much that some municipalities in Chicago actually sent them to a place in Jersey that would refurbish them.
  18. ......or buy a front license plate mount and install fog lights on that.
  19. Right now: Sitting at Discount Tire to fix my left front tire thanks to road debris.
  20. That is exactly what I was thinking. Aftermarket radio with Bluetooth. Not a full blown sound system. Yours would be easier to replace than mine because of how many systems MFT and Sync are linked to. As for where I have been, I have been monitoring the thread and listing what I may need down the road.
