Edged Up

Decided to pick up some Cadillac 4 trumpet horns from ebay. I think they came off an El Dorado. Cost like $80. Used a 9006 bulb wire harness since the caddy horns came with pigtails. Cut off the Ford connector and soldered in a 9006 plug. I figured it could handle high amp draw since its used for lights. When time comes to get my LED bumper lights I'm gonna move the horns to behind the grill since they would be in the way. Seems to be a lot of space there. No more wimpy horn!! Pics are out of order. First time posting pics. And the dog was being nosey so she got worked in. Also I checked the diagram on an El Dorado and these horns are rated at 15 amps. The Edge horn fuse is 20 so I'm confident this is safe for the wiring. This is why I didn't use a relay. Allthough I hold no responsibility if you fry your car. Do at your own risk. I am gonna make it more stealthy for warranty purposes. Don't want them to say the muffler fell off because I changed the horns. Sounds nice!!!!! Didn't want to get crazy with AirHorns with the car new and all. Maybe 5 years from now. For now its awesome.

Not a fan. Looks plain. Oem has nice lines that flow with the dash. What I want to see is a plug and play harness that gives me speaker lines and a remote to run to an amp with oem radio. Make it easy to add on without taking it to an installer. Wiring diagram anyone for a 2013?

Don't do it.....although it will be unique and no one else will have it which is pretty cool to depending on how you see it. But maybe theres a reason no one else has it. haha.

Wiring Diagram any one? Plus where the hell is the fuse box. Still haven't looked for it. Boy I'm making myself sound like a stoops. I do know a little more about cars.hehe

Running the wire. I can figure it out and make it all oem looking I'm sure. Just that I came from a VW and a Trailblazer forum and all the stuff I wanted to do to the car was already done as far as DIY's are concerned..........so I got lazy. Now I'm gonna have to start doing investigative work myself. Plus the SE mirrors don't have any hole for a puddle light and I'm not quite comfortable cutting into my new car. Easy.....just small cojones....haha. Sooo.....theres a 12volt dome light wire in the mirror somewhere to tap into. Please elaborate. I know I can make it work. First I'm getting my Cadillac horns put in..........(teaser).

The only think that really intimidates me is that OEM integration stuff like a Audiocontrol LC7i or sumthin like that. Seems easy....just find the right wires...but that's the thing.....finding the right wires. I can wire an amp and install a speaker but that radio looks like a nightmare to figure it out. Wiring that into that radio me no likey. Someone do a DIY quick!!!!

Love the sound! Don't sound ricey How is it inside so the wife wont friek. All my last cars had exhausts and she want this one quiet. I know I can convince her but only if its not crazy in the cabin. Throw up some inside vids when u get a chance if u wouldn't mind. Although my warranty is out the window with that.........right?

Ill take your advice. I'm just always paranoid that I'm getting screwed at any of these places. I'll do door speakers myself and put the sub where I want it then let them do the rest. Prolly put my own amps in too. Stealth mode. Let them wire everything up. Then ill be afraid they'll be like your amps don't work.....heres these for 10 thousand dollars!

Real Brembos or go home. I'll stick to the G2 Caliper Paint. Props to all yall though. It does look pretty cool. But REAL BREMBOS!!!!

I'm with sleepy. Cant hate cuz it looks good. Made me do a double take when i thought i saw an Elantra had brembos. I'll stick to my G2 Caliper Paint I use on all my cars. Always stays glossy. Good stuff. Like i said tho....car's hot, cant hate. I had to settle for an SE so props to ya.
