Lex, Does Chads kit come with digital ballasts?

Hey Lex, I saw a kit on the site you recommended. It had the digital ballasts for $439.00. Is that the kit you bought?

One other thing I noticed- when your driving, you don't realize how fast your going in these vehicles. I'm driving, and it feels like 65-70. I look down, and I'm doing 80-85.

Boy, I'm glad I leased my Edge (I'll only have it until 36K). But it seems that a lot of people are having major troubles with very low mileage. I mean, these are usually things you hear about when a vehicle has 50-70K on them. I only have 1150 miles on mine so far, so lets see.

I noticed that on the top of the windshield, there is no blue strip. Is this common with the Edge. I know my 01 Expedition had it.

I have the BAMR, 20" Wheels, Power Liftgate, And Sirius Radio . The only option I don't have is the Trailer Package, and I wish I'd gotten that. For what you get, and the price you pay for it, you can't beat it.

There's no telling where the top of the price will go, but yeah, it would be a good time.

Thats just disturbing. I didn't realize there was that much platinum and rhodium in those. Being in the jewelry industry, I know that platinum and rhodium are bringing in BIG prices. Platinum hit $2,000.00/oz. yesterday, and rhodium is $8,560.00/oz.

This is crazy. I've seen Toyota's ( I think its the Prius) with HID's. WTF

You know, we could have avoided all this stuff if Ford had done the right thing and installed HID lighting from the start. Its just crazy in this day and age that a newly designed vehicle doesn't come with HID. At least offer it as an option!! No wonder why Ford is in the SH!T&R.

Can you adjust the height of the low beams?

I just got the LG 8350. It works great. Also has the auto download feature for the phonebook.

Chad, I too am interested in the information you find out. As long as they can guarantee it won't hurt the electrical system, I'll probably go ahead and order the HID kit from you.

Wow- thats got to be a defect. I would definitely have something done about the paint. I can't believe that got through quality control. They must have been at lunch when your Edge came through. I'm sure your local dealer can find a place to have it painted. Since your in Germany, they probably have some very good shops who do painting on Mercedes and BMW's.

Yeah- I noticed that. I have owned Ford vehicles since I was 16 years old. The engine bay on the Edge is not only boring, but the aluminum is the worst I've seen on a new vehicle. Probably the worst engine bay since my 1970 Bronco with the inline 6cyl (but that was back 38 years ago).

Boy, it seems that lately everyone is on the edge in this forum. I can't believe the bickering going on here. I thought these forums were suppoesed to be here for people who have questions about their vehicles. I know that some of us list questions in multiple areas (I know I do), maybe to get a different response, or perspective. If you see a question that's listed multiple times, and you don't have a constructive answer, you probably shouldn't reply. Just let it go and move on. OK- I'm done with my 8:00am ranking and raving.

Um guys, I can't believe all this bickering about changing the oil. Holly Cow!! Anyway, when you have the oil changed, they put a sticker on the windshield, right? It usually says to come back in 3 months or 3,000 miles. Isn't that good enough? :yup:

Congrats on the new Edge!! Except for my new Edge (2008 Vapor Silver Limited), I've always had a black vehicle. Keeping it clean is a chore, but when it's clean, you cannot beat a black vehicle. I also have a 2002 Black Trans Am "Firehawk". I've been using Zaino Bros. wax on it for years. Absolutely, the best wax for a black vehicle. I think the link is zainobros.com

Boy, I just can't catch a break here. Ever since I bought the Edge (3 weeks ago), we haven't had a stitch of snow. I can't wait to see how the AWD is compared to my 01 Expedition. I guess I'm going to have to resort to doing a snow dance. :hyper:

I know our Edges don't have projector beams. But, if I opt to go the true HID route, will I still have the diffused light, only brighter and whiter, or will there be more of a distinctive line of light. Please excuse my stupidity on this subject.

I had the remote starter installed by the dealer when I pickup up my Edge a couple of weeks ago. They also mounted the antenna in the same place. Actually, I've had several remote starters on other vehicles, and they were all mounted in the same spot. I think you get the best signal when its mounted there.
