  1. Hahah definitely! And the ladies I met up with in Charlotte that took him on his next leg of the trip were driving an '06-10 Explorer, lol. Most of the transports there's usually another Edge too that pick them up up in Virginia (not sure which year though) And yea they were beautiful Rotties...... soooo so very sweet. Absolutely LOVE Rotties!
  2. Used it to help get these 2 absolutely beautiful rescue Rotties a little closer to their forever homes..... coming from Georgia on their way up to their rescue in Pennsylvania. I picked them up in Spartanburg, SC and took them to Charlotte, NC. Both total sweethearts Smaller one was a little nervous though.... he threw up with the people before me Taking a short break and handing them over to the next driver in Charlotte
  3. Welcome to the forum!! Sorry to hear about the brake booster woes..... not sure why there would be any problems though, it's a pretty cut and dry thing. What are they saying is the delay?? BTW you're in Charlotte?? I'm not too far away at all.... little over an hour. I'm pretty much dead center between Asheville and Charlotte. Actually gonna be in Charlotte this Saturday, doing a rescue dog transport from Spartanburg to Charlotte. If you're gonna be around and want to grab some lunch, let me know
  4. If you do it yourself, the sensors are about $30 each, then whatever fluid to fill it back up (around 5-6 quarts)
  5. It's a DVD based system, so any updates will have to be on DVD. They're all over ebay, or if you go into your settings menu on the nav unit (the screen with the button to eject the nav disc) there is an option there for ordering information. I believe it's a phone number to call
  6. As was said above, you can't do it with the Nav system, but there IS a way to get a digital speed readout, but it's not a permanent thing you'd have to do it every time. It's the engineering test mode on the instrument cluster message center. With the key off, press and hold the SETUP and RESET buttons together and turn the key on while holding those 2 buttons. This will start the cluster in the engineering test mode Then just use any of the 3 buttons (info/setup/reset) to cycle through all the different stuff. There's a whooooole bunch of stuff that means nothing to us, but there is a vehicle speed in both MPH and KPH, digital tach, coolant temp (in C though), and a few other things. But like I said this isn't a permanent thing, and you can't see anything else on your message center when in this mode (odometer, DTE, average fuel mileage, menus, etc). But it is there if you absolutely need to know There are some other things you can do with the factory nav system, though since it's a pretty generic unit not all of the functions apply to each vehicle so not all of them work. But I have gotten a few of them to, lol
  7. And now you have the wrong amount of freon in the system too..... might as well have somebody evacuate and recharge it with the correct amount. It's easy to replace.... there's a thread somewhere not too far back about replacing the fan
  8. I'm up to 128k now on my '07.... rolling right along, no problems whatsoever other than a very small brake vibration
  9. As mentioned, photobucket is awesome for picture hosting. Just note that this forum is kinda weird, in that you can't use photobuckets "IMG" code to direct copy and paste into the forum, you've got to use the "direct link" and then paste it into the image URL box using the image button above (green square). Not sure why the typical IMG codes don't work on this forum like they do most others....
  10. I'm curious to what actually happened to the old motor too. I've been working in a dealer shop since 2007 when the Edges first came out and I've never seen one single engine or transmission failure.... ever. Just weird..... but I suppose anything is possible
  11. Haha thanks! Yea been kinda MIA here for a bit lately..... haven't really posted much on any forums here lately, even the bike forums... just kinda lurking for a little bit I guess, lol. That's cool glad to hear it works well and you like it. I don't mind a little noise under hard braking, just wouldn't want it EVERY time I hit the brakes. Probably gonna go with some powerstops as well. Where did you get yours from? I try and be pretty easy on the brakes, but living here in the mountains there is just about not a flat road to be founds, so you're pretty much always going up or down somewhere. Also doesn't help I keep hauling all my scrap metal around and up and down such hills as well, lol. Still well under the towing capacity (only about 1500 lbs here) but trying to stop downhill you still def feel it
  12. Nice!! So how do they work? Any noise or vibration from the slots? My stock rotors are warped ever so slightly and I'm thinking of just replacing them with some drilled/slotted rotors. Haven't decided on the pads yet.... have OEM now but would prob go with something else
  13. Just know what you're getting into and realize that there is likely gonna be a bit of custom stuff needed to make it work. EcoBoost is a whole other animal from the regular 3.5. I'm not saying it can't be done, just saying be ready for a project. And remember the SHO (and all 3.5 EB FWD) uses a stronger trans as well..... 6F55 vs 6F50. Not a huge difference but still
  14. Chilling out in the parking lot at work.... had to go out and put my windows up before it got dumped on. Usually don't drive it to work but had to bring my trailer to haul some scrap metal home and get it out of my way here, lol
  15. Towed home a "new" (ahem.... very much used, lol) lawn mower the other night. It's not pretty but was a crackhead deal I couldn't pass up from a guy I work with. Needs some work, but nothing I can't handle. 60" deck should make mowing go a little faster than with my current 38" deck mower, lol. And this thing is heavier than it looks..... if the spec I read is correct, it's 2200 lbs and change
  16. Yes, that is the power steering res......def shouldn't be empty, probably have a leak somewhere. Fill it up before driving it anymore or you could completely burn your power steering pump up
  17. So does it ONLY do it when the brake pedal is pressed and it's in reverse? Or does it all the time when started cold? Often time belts can squeak/squeal when first started cold then go away after a couple minutes
  18. It is indeed right on the front of the block..... pretty much right between the a/c compressor, oil filter housing, and alternator. It's the little single pin white plug in this pic
  19. Welcome!! Congrats on the new ride..... looking good! Weren't you on the 600rr.net forum as well?
  20. There is a weight sensor on the passenger seat, and if there's anything in the seat and it's under about 50 lbs, the passenger airbag is deactivated and the light will be on. It will also be on if the seat is empty and the seatbelt is buckled. The airbag is also disabled when there is nothing in the seat and the seatbelt isn't buckled, but the light stays off for that one
  21. Hauled all my scrap metal down to recycling this morning..... first time I've ever towed anything with much of any weight with the Edge (which didn't even break a sweat). Also trying out my new trailer sides I just built on thursday..... they worked great! She's a heavy beast alright, lol..... we went across the scales at 6300 lbs, haha Worthwhile trip too.... 960 lbs of steel, 113 lbs of good aluminum, 51 lbs of mixed aluminum, and 107 lbs of radiators. $173.50 in my pocket for stuff that would otherwise be thrown in the trash.... I'll take it!
  22. Yup, completely normal.... it's the little shutters (solenoid basically) in the headlight housing opening and closing. They all do it
  23. What's your VIN? I'll run it and see if it's affected or not
  24. That's awesome! You got any pictures? Glad to hear she's still going strong and treating you well Makes mine look young, at only 121k, hahah
