  1. How did you do that? When ignition is off, you can simply rotate them manually and lift.
  2. Just a clarification, the extra noise in my Edge after the sunroof glass replacement is noticable only with the sunroof shade open. Also, going through the order guides, it seems 2021 is the year they changed the standard "Acoustic-Laminate Windshield" to "Laminated Windshield" and also the "Acoustic-Laminate Front Row Side Windows" is not mentioned anymore for the Titanium & ST models. 2021-Edge-Order-Guide.pdf 2020-Ford-Edge_OrderGuide.pdf
  3. Take the 2024 for a test drive first. I personally have NOT driven one, but given the recent sunroof glass change I had on my 2016 and how the replacement is not acoustic glass, similar to 2019+ models, and that even the front side windows are also no more acoustic on newer models (not sure which year it started), I suspect you'll feel quite a difference in noise levels.
  4. Lift arms replaced. However, wind noise the same. It is definitely the acoustic roof vs. regular glass.
  5. Just a follow up, the issue never re-occurred. Only things done since the last time it happened that I remember that might affect it, are a battery disconnect for about 40 days I was on travel in Nov/Dec 2022 and then got the battery replaced in August 2023 (normal no start due to weak battery).
  6. As far as I know, it is LED. Looking at some sample lights on eBay also seem to confirm this. Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275761560707
  7. The paper manual also affects the environment, especially when many, if not most, don't use the paper copy. It is also easier to find information being searchable. The cost of the paper manual would eventually be passed on to the consumer. For easier/quicker access, you can download a PDF version of the manual to your devices to have access anytime. The PDF can be downloaded under "Past Printings" > Documents. https://www.ford.com/support/owner-manuals/
  8. As far I know, the Edge in North America did not come with motion sensing alarm systems. You can confirm this by looking at the overhead console. If they have sensors or not like in the photo. I'm guessing it is a mistake in the owner's manual.
  9. There is no real benefit in reporting the update. Previously it would have only updated the installed sync version so or Ford would know. But as you have already now installed the latest version, and there are no further updates coming, you're not gaining anything. Don't worry about it or waste any time on it.
  10. On my 2016 Edge, the door switches do NOT turn on with the door open. They turn on with the ignition, at least at night regardless of light switch position.
  11. I really do hope so. I ordered new brackets (apparently called "lift arms" by Ford) and the clips required to remove & reinstall the rear roof side trims. They need a couple of weeks to arrive. Hopefully they will fix the rattling and reduce the wind noise.
  12. There are 2 tie down hooks (loops), make sure they are not under the loose panel, otherwise the panel will not fully seat. Also, the storage bins have raised nibs that go in to slots under the panel. So if they are not aligned correctly, the panel would also not seat correctly.
  13. When the glass is closed, there doesn't seem to be any looseness. As for the sound, it doesn't sound like air leak, rather wind noise from behind the glass. I distinguish it more because I had it in my previous 2011 MKX that had a tempered glass sunroof. When I first got the Edge I remember immediately noticing the lack of wind noise from the sunroof with the shade open compared to the MKX, and I had attributed it to the laminated glass. The difference in wind noise is similar to when riding in another vehicle that is not equipped with "Acoustic-Laminate Glass". The Acoustic Laminated Sunroof seems to have been dropped by Ford in 2019, as can be seen in the description in 2018 & 2019 Ford Edge order guides.
  14. Recently got my sunroof glass replaced on my 2016 Edge Sport due to a minor incident. I noticed a clunking/rattling noise coming at speed when it is open, like something is loose, checking around I found that there is some play in the rear brackets and just wanted to confirm from other owners that this is indeed not normal. See below video I just took. Edit: I expect I need new brackets. Probably the little plastic stops are worn out and the replacement of the glass process made things worse. On another note, the replacement sunroof glass is the updated "tempered" glass instead of the original laminated, and with the shade open (glass closed) there seems to be more wind noise than before.
  15. I meant to reply earlier, I tried monitoring the oil pressure using ForScan lite (android), these are my observations: Driving, I did see low oil pressures, as low as 2.9 psi at one point, which seems to have been from when braking/stopping hard. At idle, or stopped in drive, the oil pressure fluctuates ~2-4 psi only. Oil pressure is the last graph at the bottom in below screenshots (EOP_PRESS): Fist screenshot is from while driving. Second is while idling stopped in drive. Third is while idling in Park.
  16. So calibration was done, however, I'd suggest to redo it since the ABD changed. I don't know whether it affects it or not. Correct Calibration is to ensure it works correctly, so even if it is working, there might be something off. This is only a personal opinion. For the VIN, I don't know it is required or not, however, for modules that need VIN, it is part of the ABD, so programming the factory ABD will automatically add the VIN to the module. The VIN is actually some the ABD values.
  17. Did you follow all the steps mentioned in the original post? Did you replace the RTM? Did you enable Hood Switch in BCM? Did you enable remote start in FCIM & SCCM? Note: your Edge is a EU model, that could also be an issue. It is diesel, right? Auto or Manual? That could also be an issue.
  18. Even though it is working now, if I remember correctly, there is a "calibration" process that you should do for the sensor to work correctly. I also remember that ForScan has this service capability to initiate the calibration.
  19. They are all LED Taillights, it is just how they illuminate that differentiates "Low" and "High" lines. Just out of curiosity and for confirmation @ADHCpilot, is your rear signal lights amber or red? I couldn't find a picture online to confirm what the "Low" line (SE, SEL, ST-Line) has in the rear.
  20. This was discussed before here. There are two types of taillights on the Edge (2015+), when lights are off they look the same. But how they illuminate is different: On higher trims, the red outline lights up as the "Taillight", with the brake & turn signal lights are separate/different LEDs. On 2015-2018, the signals are amber. On lower trims, the outer outline is just for show and the taillight is the same as brake lights, only on brakes they illuminate brighter (like traditional older American cars). I am not sure if 2019+ are similar to 2015-2018 where the turn signal is red, utilizing the same LEDs as the brake lights.
  21. Not being able to select anything, tells me maybe someone changed some configurations (As Built Data), hence why it is greyed out. This is a guess only. For programming the VIN, it would be easier to just download the factory As-Built Data (ABD) from MotorCraft Service site (link) and then use the restore function in ForScan. Do it for all modules you suspect have been altered, at-least for the CCM, IPC & BCM (Cruise Control, Instrument Cluster & Body Control) modules.
  22. Thanks a lot, that's a simple fix, just rotate and mirror the image and it becomes easily readable.
  23. On the glass, center of the rear edge from the inside it can be seen. It is supposed to readable from the outside, so on the inside the text will be mirrored (flipped). Attached is what mine states (2016 original), "laminated safety glass". Newer models stared using "Tempered glass".
  24. My guess is that this new version oil pan (KT4Z-6675-E) is for use on all (2015+), however, for the 2015-2017 it would require the new Valve covers, my guess for the PCV Check Valve that is missing from the new oil pans.
