  1. If you search on you tube "ford edge manual trunk release" you'll get several videos. The process is also described in the owners manual, but the exact process depends on your model year, 2008-2014 or 2015+.
  2. Probably was most of time, hence my thinking it was a wheel bearing.
  3. I had a recent issue in an MKS where it had a whine coming from the back that I was confident was a wheel bearing. A mechanic had suggested that it was from the tires, hence I rotated the tires front/rear and the sound switched to the front. New tires fixed the issue.
  4. Attached. Headliner - Lowering.pdf
  5. 1. Yes,, two types. One for Edge with towing package and one without. 2.A. Not available. 2.B. Not available. Not advisable. Change complete assembly with Motorcraft/Ford only. Others have faced many issues with other makes.
  6. You can try the other method to disable Auto Start/Stop. See this post.
  7. Until someone knowledgeable chimes in, my take is the extra capacity was simply from the the previous overfill due to the front wheels up only, and the red/pink tinge is due to the mixing with leftover Royal Purple oil that was still in the PTU from previous change(s).
  8. I recommend the ones I installed a little over a year now. Posted about them here (link). They are brighter than stock and have the LED blinking effect. Makes the Edge feel a bit more modern. The same manufacturer/brand has an updated/upgraded bulb design, but I have not tried them. With the older design that I have, I can some areas when the signal is flashing how theoretically a full 360 degree illumination would make them even better.
  9. Is it turned on in the settings? Maybe change it to high?
  10. There is no zipper. See this thread for more details.
  11. You can hide a fob with the battery removed so the vehicle would not recognize it. Then, when needed, to start the vehicle just insert the fob (without the battery) in the backup slot in the center console and the vehicle will start and run.
  12. This would require him to press the start button without the brake lights on. However, he can't as when of the symptoms he is facing is that the engine is immediately starting with a single press.
  13. From your description, i'd say you have a stuck brake light switch and it was just a coincidence they it happened after plugging the diagnostics tool.
  14. Congrats on your new ride. How is the difference between them?
  15. I am not aware of any. However, I did not look for any, so maybe there is and I don't know about it.
  16. Found this new comparison video:
  17. I never had to try. However, on the private Beta ForScan (this post if you can open it) forum someone with a 2019 Edge confirmed it worked for him. Edit: post is quoted below. Big success today with 2.4.10 and PATS programming 2 new keys for my 2019 Edge. Warning: I take no ownership for anyone following in my footsteps. You're at your own risk. I'm just sharing my experience as there doesn't seem to be a lot of posts about successfully using this feature in the same scenario, except for a post I found on a Mustang forum. _______________________________
  18. You may want to try ForScan as they added BCM/BdyCM "PATS Programming" for erase and program keys function since version 2.3.56 (2023-09-07). I successfully tried PATS programming on older Fords, however, I have a paid license, not sure if it is a requirement for PATS or not.
  19. Given how the RDU has a clutch pack and that it has a "calibration" setting that has to be entered into the PCM after installation, I don't expect it to be serviceable outside a factory.

    Gas Guage

If your problem is only that the distance to empty (DTE) is showing more miles than before, then that is normal after the battery is disconnected. This is because after a battery disconnect the average mpg used to calculate DTE is reset to a default value. It will then become more realistic after a few fill-ups.
  21. Maybe a initialization will get the sunshade to close in one touch operation? The procedure is attached. Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization.pdf
  22. As described above. However, the shield (sunshade) does close fully in a one touch close. At least it does on my 2016.
  23. Actually, the 2016 Edge does show individual Tire Pressures for each wheel. check this video at 5:28: https://youtu.be/th9tmsntRSw&t=5m28s
  24. Normally extended warranties coverages are calculated from the original warranty start date. So make sure that yours starts from the current milage.
