@TheyCallMeBT, The Edge (&MKX) feels like small car compared to a friend's Expedition (2011) that I drove a few times. Some people just prefer the "Truckness" that comes with large body on frame SUVs. I would suggest you try the new Explorer, as it drives somewhere between an Expedition & an Edge. Perhaps even closer to the expedition than the Edge, at least that's what I fealt.

Where did you get them & for how much? -
Its an SEL. You can see the "L" in the first picture. Also, SE models in US have 17" wheels.

If it's an early build 2011, you have to go to the dealer for the updates. In any case, the warranty for the APIM (MFT) has been extended by 2 years on all Ford/Lincoln vehicles regardless of mileage, so yours would be covered.

Since your talking about Air Filters, I have noticed that the replacement filters (FA-1884) is different than the one that came in the car from factory. Same part number, but the factory one was orange/yellow with a steel mesh, the replacement is black/white. Wonder what is the difference & which is better (if any is).

The link you have is the latest (3.6.2), for some reason the number on the file's name has v361 which makes you believe its 3.6.1, but it is actually 3.6.2. So it should work. On the other hand, since your still on 3.0.2, I would recommend first installing 3.5.1 because it was a complete flash. The update file was huge (~1.2 GB) unlike other updates that were only ~550 MB. Then update to 3.6.2. I have attached both TSBs for v3.5.1 & v3.6.2. Note: For my brother's 2012 Explorer, it has 3.0.2 which was not confirmed at Syncmyride, hence Syncmyride was indicating the current version as 2.11 & it still made us update directly to 3.6.2 which worked fine without problems. Note 2: If you have navigation, you probably will need an updated SD Card for it to work. TSB 12-11-01 (MFT v3.5.1).pdf TSB13-08-02 (MFT v3.6.2).pdf

Winter Set: will 18's from an 09 fit on 2011 with 20's

Will not work straightforward. They might work with a special adapter (if any exists). -
Winter Set: will 18's from an 09 fit on 2011 with 20's
omar302 replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Wheels & Tires
The center hub diameter is different, 63.4mm for 2011+ and 70.5mm for 2010 and below. So the 2009 wheels will have a bigger center hub hole. -
Adding Navigation to non Nav MFT
omar302 replied to Dice213's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Remote start can be activated at any dealer, you just need the IDS (or whatever they call it). One member even bought it & activated remote start himself (Sajid.ali). Navigation, on the other hand, is kind of a one time setup at the factory, once it is set up for "Nav or no-Nav", it cannot be changed. -
canadian drl hid
omar302 replied to Jocelyn Castro's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
This is exactly how they work on my car, 2011 MKX with factory HID, no matter how long or short you hold the lever, but that's only during the day (headlights off). If the headlights are on, the highbeams will turn on for as long as you hold (pull) lever, there is no minimum or maximum time. -
"No Key Detected" and Car Won't Start
omar302 replied to Shockwavesix's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
You can take out the emergency key (that's inside the fob) and keep it with you for emergencies, or you can copy it to a regular key to put it on a key ring along with your other keys. -
H.I.D upgrade.
omar302 replied to Msl558's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
If you want bright, choose 4300k colour as it gives the most light. Stock HID is also 4300k. -
Try installing 9011 in place of 9012, there is a slight difference in the base similar to 9006 Vs. 9005. 9011 are 65 watt bulbs with about 2350 lumens.

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes to force a reboot (or pull fuse#29 or ) to see if the system starts.

Make sure you are checking the tire pressure when the car has been sitting for a few hours or early morning.

From the instrument cluster left screen, go to Settings>Vehicle>Easy Entry/Exit and select off.

A/C Intake in recerculation mode
omar302 replied to teknowiz's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I believe its behind the glove box, top side. If you remove the cabin air filter, you'll see the fan immediately under it. Spray their if you like. Also, when was the last time you changed the filter? the odor might be from something stuck on it. -
Anyone out there with an HTC One
omar302 replied to rock7437's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Try disabling the phonebook auto download. I have a HTC One & have no problems with 3.6.2 & voice commands except some quirkiness every now & then. -
Though mine is an MKX, it definitely doesn't require such force to close. I suggest you insist on the dealer to adjust it. Tell them to check any other Edge in their lot in front of you.

The only way to get the 3.7 Engine and all the options is to get the MKX. For is doing the same thing with the Explorer were some options, including HID headlights, are not available on the Sport.

Aftermarket remote start
omar302 replied to rsto's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Go for Ford's accessories: http://accessories.ford.com/vehicles/edge/2013/electronics/remote-start.html?order=nameasc They have several choices that can be installed after buying the car.
